“I like the rooms! Bed was very comfortable. I didn’t like the bugs and that there was not really an area for our party to gather around in celebration of a milestone birthday. The fishing was not great in comparison to the other locations we have stayed at however I do like the amenities this resort provides for children.”

“This property is so unique and the concept of converting cabooses into rooms was genius. We had a wonderful two night stay. We stayed in “The Gatsby” caboose, which has a deck out front overlooking clear lake. The deck was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee and our evening cocktail. “The setting on the lake were incredible, the rooms are pretty tired, and could use updating. They front desk lady gave me an upgrade which was very good. The front desk lady also charged me $4 extra because she said expedia doesnt pay their fees, not sure what that was all about but have never run into that issue before. ”

“The check in staff member was nice and friendly, but after she left the rest of employees were short and loud due to being disturbed from their computer screen. This was my first time visiting this Best Western in Clear Lake. As a member I've never been denied a continental breakfast. The food was being prepared for a church group only and had a closed sign outside the door. Luckily I found breakfast a cross the street at Grandpa's Cafe. It's a shame to give this Best Western a lacking review...

“Too our surprise this hotel was very clean and orderly. It's on Highway 20 but is back enough you couldn't hear the traffic very bad. We were surprised how clean the rooms and property were. We would stay again. Thank you for a pleasant stay.”

Cons: Some towels had black stains, some of the furniture was oversize in the room and our mattress pad cover had stains on it.
