“This is an older property in a fishing town. It was quiet and clean. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The pool was refreshing after a hot morning of fishing.”

“I don’t usually write reviews but this place was horrible. We stayed one night and there were 2 huge cockroaches on our room. And if those weren’t enough one got in my car as we were leaving. On top of that the ice machine doesn’t work. The pool was the only nice thing about our stay, I would never stay here again!”

“Dead Bugs Everywhere! Never in my life have I stayed in a room with so many dead bugs. Checked in late. Staff not around. It was disgusting and I’m by no means a neat freak. The shower was so gross I wouldn’t even get in it. Instead, I settled for wetting my hair by hand at the sink.”

“We’ve been to Matagorda many times. Location was close to other friends and a short walk to the beach. Dunes are walkable through short brush with old shoes. AC in bedrooms ran constantly at 76. It was 90 and humid. Kitchen furnishing’s are good and adequate. It’s not the Ritz but if you’re flexible it’s ok. Requiring a damage deposit is unusual.”

“This place is small but has everything you need. Cold AC, hot water-shower, frig, microwave, comfortable bed, dock for fishing, etc. Easy check-in and check out instructions and good communication from the owner. Best place you will find for the price in Sargent. Would recommend it to anyone.”
