“Ease of parking, excellent dinner, lovely staff and a spacious room made for yet another extremely pleasant stay. Vanessa and the other dining room staff coped admirably with the additional presence of a very large number of cyclists and support teams on the first night that were involved in a high profile race.”

“The reception area and fitness suite are newly renovated, but the rooms are a very different story. The rooms are incredibly dated and furnishings are very tired. The beds were thin so you could feel the springs, the TV was very old and the ironing board was torn up. The bathroom is particular is in desperate need of a refresh, while it was clean, the sink and showers were very old. Towels were very old and were stained. Positives are the location is great - very close to high street and train...

“I liked the set up and the amenities even though I didn’t stay long enough to use them, knowing there was a pool on site and a gym will definitely help me decide to book here again. The pub opened late which was great . And the breakfast had lots of options which is always good. All in all a wonderful stay .”

“Everything was amazing. Great location and lovely staff. The view from breakfast and the terrace bar was great. 2 things to improve that really hot under my skin.... Breakfast wasn't great. And the hotel bar is extremely overpriced. We paid 10£ for 2 cups of tea (tea bag tea!!!) and alcohol and soft drinks also way over priced. If you book, just make a brew in your room and bring it down, it's the same tea!”

“Caratteristico pub però con camere assolutamente da rinnovare. Letti scomodi, arredamento e decorazione troppo vecchio. La pulizia del bagno e lenzuola ok. Ma la moquette, finestra ed arredi hanno bisogno di una pulizia più profonda. Molto buona la colazione ed il personale molto disponibile.”

“I so want this place to succeed! It’s in the most picturesque village, but needs some TLC after a string of management changes. New team comes in August. The bedrooms are clean, small, very comfortable and well designed. Current staff are lovely, but they’re leaving in 2 weeks.”
