“Friendly and efficient staff, tasty food, very comfortable bed”

“Overall the hotel was ok. The bed was hard and a four poster, which wasn’t very tall, so I had quite a few head bumps. We stayed during the cold snap and the room didn’t have great heating, however reception did provide an additional electric radiator which worked perfectly. Overall staff were great, parking was easy, it is dog friendly but not all rooms are from what I could gather so you should check in advance if it’s ok. “We had a comfortable stay at Upper House and slept well. Breakfast was enjoyable, and we also had dinner during our visit, the food was lovely and a real highlight. However, the room cleanliness was fairly basic and could be improved. The staff were polite but didn’t come across as particularly warm or welcoming.
