Questa casa vacanza recentemente ristrutturata e isolata è perfetta per famiglie, piccoli gruppi, anziani o genitori in città che visitano i loro studenti al Fort Lewis College.

Situato sulle montagne di San Juan, a solo un miglio dal centro di Durango, questa casa luminosa con tutti i nuovi interni offre un buon equilibrio tra privacy e opzioni per mangiare e fare shopping, oltre a numerose attività all'aperto e splendidi scenari naturali.

Il soggiorno ha due comodi divani e uno ha poltrone reclinabili su entrambe le estremità. C'è una grande TV a schermo piatto sopra il camino a gas e un'enorme vetrata esposta a ovest per ammirare le montagne della Platta e l'area circostante.

La cucina nuova di zecca ha tutti i nuovi armadi e elettrodomestici inossidabili - tra cui una lavastoviglie - e nuovi pavimenti in piastrelle. C'è anche un bar per la colazione sulla mezza parete che separa la cucina dalla zona giorno.

Questa casa vacanza ha tutti i nuovi letti e nuovi letti, la prima camera da letto ha un letto king-size e la seconda ha un letto queen-size. La terza camera dispone di una combinazione a castello full / twin. Anche il bagno è stato completamente ristrutturato. Questa casa con tre camere da letto e un bagno può ospitare fino a sei persone.

La casa dispone anche di un patio e grill a gas, e c'è una lavatrice e asciugatrice nel corridoio.

C'è una pista ciclabile in fondo al vialetto e una pista per mountain bike a solo un quarto di miglio lungo la strada che si imbatte in Horse Gulch. La foresta nazionale di San Juan offre una moltitudine di attività all'aperto, tra cui la pesca, il rafting e le escursioni, e il Museo della ferrovia a scartamento ridotto è assolutamente da vedere. I viaggiatori invernali hanno accesso a due aree sciistiche: Chapman Hill Municipal Ski Area, a poco più di due miglia di distanza, e Purgatory Resort, che si trova a 45 miglia di distanza. Quite neat home

We enjoyed our time in Durango and to come home and relax in a nice quiet space was wonderful. Put girls loved watching the deer each morning while eating breakfast. The location is very convenient to downtown and all the local activities.

Great spot and convenient location

We enjoyed our stay very much! We loved the privacy while being close to downtown. The bedrooms and living room were very comfortable. The patio seating was lovely in the evening. We would definitely stay again!

Good place to stay

The property was great. We had a little hard time finding it but your directions were good. We just took a few passes. The house was comfortable and suited our needs. Beautiful location. Our only suggestion would be to turn up the hot water a little and find a way to increase the water pressure. The shower needed warmer water with more water pressure.

Family Ski Reunion

We took our adult children skiing for a week, and this house suited our needs just fine. The only glitch was the electronic door lock didn’t work when we arrived late at night. It took a little while, but we eventually got the code for the lockbox containing the keys.

Very Disappointed - Be Sure to book direct with VACASA to avoid the VRBO fee

The most troublesome issue was a very offensive odor permeating the "cabin." We opened all the windows to get in some fresh air. Despite the fresh air, the odor persisted through out our 4 day visit. It was strongest in the front room near the sofa and bar stool area. We never could figure out the source. Also very disappointing was a non-working fireplace. It was chilly in the evening and morning so we were looking forward to using the fireplace. The front yard was un-mowed and had sprinklers on a timer to insure the long grass was always wet. I would have turned them off but I didn't locate the timer until our last day. The master bedroom bed sagged in the middle. The yellow sofa in the front room was wallowed out so it too sagged very low when occupied. The only good attribute was the location.

Excellent except....

Great location, nice place for sure. Only issue was a mouse...or two....and an odor that we finally located to a mouse corpse. Very good and clean except for this.....which, for a girl's trip group, became an unnerving couple of nights.

1st and last VRBO/Vacasa stay

Poorly maintained. Front door deadbolt couldn’t be locked with key, door handle (only way to lock door) very loose. House had an offensive odor which was sorta masked with heavy air freshener (applied just before check in). Reported these problems immediately, no effort made to fix them. Owner was aware of the deadbolt, handwritten note inside about the deadbolt not working. VRBO surcharge is 30% for various fees and taxes. Last night’s Hampton Inn’s surcharge was 14%. The property overall was seedy. Does have a nice bathroom and beds. Kitchen and living room dated. Front porch is the best feature . Good location.

Misled with a Marvelous Mountain View

When we first arrived, we had a little difficulty finding the property but finally saw the black mailbox next to another black mailbox with 922 on it. The other mailbox said 942 and we really weren’t expecting such close neighbors. We received the entry code in a text message but didn’t realize the key was inside the key box. I expected the code to actually turn the door handle like those at home. We had to call the manager and after a few minutes someone came to open the door for us. We felt she was a bit snarky as she told us she had to get to a memorial service. When we entered the house all the windows were closed with a tiny room air conditioner running in the foyer. It was set at 65 degrees but it didn’t cool the house in the least. There was a sign in the fridge that told us to turn off the a/c at night and put the windows up for “Colorado air conditioning.” Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would have been very helpful. Also the tiny air conditioner should be replaced with a much larger one and placed in a living room or kitchen window. A split a/c unit would be economical and much more efficient. Another thing we encountered was water coming into the front bedroom from the sprinklers at 5:45 in the morning until after 8:00. When I was awake I realized it and closed the window but there was water on the floor and the corner of the bed. The sprinklers came on every morning for 2-3 hours at a time! We were misled by the VRBO ad into believing that this property was away from neighbors and traffic but there was plenty of that. There were positives, though. The patio chairs and lounge chairs were wonderful for sitting outside in the mornings and evenings. The deer were fun to watch. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was very clean. Just a few improvements would make a stay at this cabin in the summer much better.

Get-Away in Durango

Check-In was easy. Lots of places to sleep. Kitchen was well stocked of kitchenware. Only 1 dishwasher pod was provided for a whole weekend. Management did bring more when called. Beware of lawn sprinklers - they will wake you at 5:30am if your bedroom window is open. Sprinklers stayed on from 5:30am to past 8am both mornings. (we left around 8am both days). A small note warns you that keys do not open the top lock. Did we pay attention? No. Had to call management 2x to see if we could get back in. By 4pm - we still could not obtain entry. Management did showed up to help later that day. If tape (like duct tape) had been placed over the lock, we would have paid attention. Trash was tucked away in a separate out building. I hope management gets a trash service soon, there were over 10 bags of trash already there when we arrived. We loved the yard & patio. Lots of chairs provided. The gas grill was clean and started right up. Easy to use! We would definitely come back for another stay.

Perfect except for funky steps

The property was amazing, loved the location, it had everything we needed. The only negative is the steps leading into the house. They are a weird size and shape. People kept tripping on them and my som actually broke his foot when he tripped. That put a damper on the experience as we could not do planned activities. We would definitely stay there again.

Quite cabin near town

Loved the place. Deer grazing on the front lawn. Very quiet at night. But just across from the local college and five minutes drive from Main Street. Comfortable living room.

Beautiful location great cabin

Great location directly in the city but secluded from traffic. The place is very clean with nice furniture. Loved the recliner couch after a long day of hiking biking etc. Lots of birds and deer to see from outside covered patio. Highly recommend

Great stay for the price

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. For the price this is great. Not a criticism at all for the listing but for other families who are looking there are a couple things worth mentioning: I assumed with a property managed by vacasa that there would be a local inventory of high chairs or pack of plays that would be available upon request. I inquired multiple times through vacasa about this beforehand and no one ever got back to me. Obviously there's nothing available in the listing at all but I made a wrong assumption. Thankfully we brought our own pack and play and high chair. Also note for families, the bathroom is great and most of the time the sliding glass door around the tub would be great but it makes it a little difficult to bathe kids. There is a small AC unit that cools the main room off in the later afternoons but otherwise it was not needed even in August. I agree with other reviewers it would be nice to have fans in the bedrooms. We really enjoyed the family of deer that other reviewers have mentioned. Location is so great, close to everything you want to go to and it makes you feel like you're away from it all. The pictures do make the yard space seem bigger than it is. The kids could play outside but they couldn't really throw a ball around. They still had fun. Thanks for allowing us to share your part of Colorado, we'll definitely be back to Durango!
