The house is 100' from the water with a firepit near the lake.

LAKE CHARLEVOIX HAS A GRADUAL SLOPE FOR SAFE SWIMMING AND A SANDY LAKE BOTTOM. There are stones on the lake shore.

THE SUN RISES ON A 600' DECK AND ALL FOUR LAKESIDE BEDROOMS. There are five sliding glass doors and 20 large windows.

GREAT ROOM WITH A VAULTED CEILING, hardwood floors, granite table tops, a 50" plasma TV, and a stereo with multiple speakers.

TWO BATHROOMS WITH CERAMIC FLOORS, tub/shower combinations, sink, & medicine cabinet

FOUR BEDROOMS & ONE BONUS ROOM WITH SOFA BED. All w/ lake-views & hardwood floors

LINENS & TOWELS are provided.

THE KITCHEN HAS A MARBLE FLOOR with two microwaves, two toasters, two coffee makers, and a refrigerator with an ice maker.

THE DINING AREA SEATS 16 and includes flatware, dishes, cups, and glasses, for everyone.

DOCK, OFF-SHORE BUOY, and BOAT HOIST with a 5,000 lb. capacity for your boat. We have a rowboat and an inflatable kayak for fishing and recreation.

SIX BICYCLES in the large shed for your use.

BOARD GAMES include Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, Scruples, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, and others.

Lovely property to stay at for our family! We had a great week on Charlevoix. The location is perfect, close to Boyne and Charlevoix. The beach located in the campsite next door was incredible for our kids and even the boat launch right next to us was fun for them to watch! The deck provided a beautiful view of the lake and a great spot for nightly dinners!

Beautiful Views

Views from the cottage were beautiful. Construction on the neighboring county boat ramp were annoying during our stay, but when finished the area will be nice. Cottage could use a thorough deep cleaning. Owner was easy to work with and attentive to any questions.

Perfect floorplan

Host Larry Kish is very easy to work with. He has rented this house 30 years. It has a great layout with a large kitchen joined to a large family room and great views of the lake. There is lots of seating space for eating, lounging and spending time on a porch. The private dock and boat lift came in very handy. I am not sure if a public boat ramp is being constructed for the 2024 year, which if it is, might pose a challenge to some.

Wonderful!!

Fantastic location and wonderful house. We rented a boat for the week and had it moored off the dock. Boat trips to Boyne City and Charlevoix were the highlights of the week. We also visited the Lavender Hill Farm and Traverse City. House had everything we needed - loved the couch. The owner was extremely helpful and communicated well.

Wonderful Family Spot

We loved this house and location for our family trip. It was perfect for our children to play in the sand, and collect rocks. Larry was wonderful and very responsive. We also enjoyed visiting Boyne and Charlevoix downtown.

Family Vacation

This home definitely has a million dollar view that will not disappoint you. Me and my family had a wonderful week here. We spent hours in the back yard at the beach and dock area fishing, rock hunting, swimming and kayaking. We found several petosky stones. The house was a reasonable proximity to all of the places we wanted to visit. We went to Mackinac Island 1 hour 12 minutes away it was awesome! Sleeping bear dune 1 hour 30 minutes it was amazing! If you go there have an amazing sandwich at the shipwreck cafe best sandwiches my family ever ate, Shopping in Charlevoix and Petosky was 30 minutes away both had quaint little shops. We saw Lake Charlevoix, Lake Michigan, Torch Lake, Lake Huron, and all of them were stunning! Thanks Larry for sharing your wonderful home with our family!

Great View, well equipped, just needs some minor tweaks

The star of the show for this rental is the deck and the view, and they do not disappoint. The railing, while it is great for keeping the view, is swaged cable, no issues for adults or older kids, but I could see it being scary if you have young kids. The kitchen is well equipped, though typical nitpicks of older rentals apply, pans stick, knives are dull, etc. Paper plates and paper towels were provided which is nice. The bedrooms are clean and mattresses are good. It seems like maybe Ikea furniture/mattresses. They're not luxurious but they are supportive and I had no issues waking up sore or tired. Fans are provided in the bedrooms which is great. One odd thing, one day I was out swimming with my daughters and two sketchy looking shirtless dudes just showed up unannounced to work on the lift. It wouldn't have been an issue if it would have been communicated, we weren't using the lift, but it was weird to just have 2 random people just show up. I should have been told they were coming. Overall we enjoyed our time there and it was one of the better places we have stayed on Charlevoix (we have stayed in 10 or so, and a few of them were very dodgy). That being said, it could stand to get a "deep clean", things like air vents, ceiling fans, etc are caked in dust. The dock was too short/shallow for us to use with our boat (24' inboard that draws 36") at all. It would be nice if it was 15'-20' longer (as the neighbors are) Access to the washer/dryer would also be greatly appreciated. 8 people at the lake for a week really need a way to dry things.

Memorial Day Stay

Larry is a very responsive host and the property is beautiful. The house has a nice open upstairs and deck that make it great for larger groups. The yard and beachfront is private and beautiful. We launched our small boat at the ramp in Boyne City and made use of the boat lift at the dock, which worked great. Everything in the house functioned great and the place was very clean. We had a large group and used all of the beds and all were comfortable. The decor in the house was great, we especially liked the duck and loon carvings. We can’t say enough good things about the area from the golf courses to the restaurants to fishing on Lake Michigan- we all filled our coolers with lake trout. We even caught a large smallmouth off the dock and got to witness northern lights off the same dock at night. Everyone who stayed said they would return and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Boyne Family Ski Trip

Great location right on Lake Charlevoix. A short 18 min drive to Boyne Mountain. Great open concept common space for a larger family with younger children. Would recommend for a family trip!

Lakeside Getaway

Wonderful home to spend time with family and friends. I was impressed with the owner who left a handwritten note welcoming us and letting us know how to contact him if we needed anything! Property had everything you need for an enjoyable stay!
