“A beautiful, historic castle outside Edinburgh. Room was very nice--bed comfortable, bathroom clean and roomy enough. Restaurant in the basement is a "must do." Steaks are cooked over a wood fire. Food was superb. Only negative was that I learned if you don't book directly with Melville Castle then breakfast is not included. I used a Expedia to book, so no breakfast included, which didn't seem right given the room prices. Overall a great experience. My wife and I would like to return sometime.”

“The rooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was really good and fairly priced. We went to the bar as well and the staff was great! The only thing that was missing was bubble bath for the beautiful tub, but I would recommend this place to anyone and wish we would have stayed longer.”
