“We had to switch rooms because the air conditioner stopped working. The next room did not have a microwave. The clerk brought one and had to sit it on our table. There was a huge amount of white powdery substance on the bathtub and door handle. The bed was hard as a rock.”

“Front desk Peggy horrible attitude. Check out time was not til 11am the house keeper came and knocked on door and came right in our room and when had our private sign on our door and she still came on in”

“A place not to be missed, even if you're just passing thru. Historical yet still functioning well this is a cool spot of midwest history. Great deals on stays online and yes - it is dated but what place isn't with this much history. Glad to see it getting updates and care again. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna (mens). Rough that some hands-off parents let kids roam around sometimes late at night and mess things up - seemed like some kids dumped coffee in the pool or something. ...

“Check in staff was very kind. Only stayed one night and the cleaning crew was on top of cleaning rooms in the morning. Very happy with my stay”

“Appreciated staying in a facility that was up to date and modern. Only complaint we have is that the elevator took way too long to close the doors, even when the button was pushed to close the doors (it did not respond).”

“We had a handicapped accessable room and the shower did not work properly. The hand held spray did not work. I told the front desk and they had a repairman come and fix it the next day. It then worked but it leaked horribly. The staff was good to get someone to look at it but the repairman did a less than good job.”

“The non-smoking room that I had, smelled like smoke. There wasn't much toilet paper and there wasn't any soap but the man at the front desk was very kind and said that if anything was missing to please let him know and he would take care of it. The bed was comfortable and I got some good sleep.”

“I waited for 30 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check me in. Once she arrived, the young woman was very nice and helpful. There was no working elevator and I had to climb the filthy stairs with my luggage. The hallway was also filthy and the room was in terrible shape. I stayed 5 mins and checked out-forfeiting the money I had paid for two nights. I didn’t feel safe and the facilities were deplorable.”

“This is absolutely horrendous, we were given our first room, and the beds were not made, and there was blood in the bathtub and walls, we were then given a second room, there was blood under the toilet seat and blood on the walls in the shower the "Continental breakfast" A COMPLETE SCAM, nothing but toast and yogurt, they claim to have a heated pool, the pool was freezing, Also they have a side door that said its locked between 11pm-5am NEVER LOCKED BIG SAFETY CONCERN”
