“This is a perfect place from which to explore the entire area, including Stonehenge in Salisbury which is easily reachable via the train just across the street, as are local ferries and buses. The old port district, Cathedral and Portsmouth Museum are a pleasant 15 to 20 minute walk, and there are plenty of food options. Highly recommend! ”

“ Got a text from the property management to get in to the room. Access to the property was through an unlocked front door and a room door with a combination lock which was loose and did not work. Rang the property mobile number and they said turn itleft and right then the code works. Almost immediately they sent a text demanding another payment of £45 for cleaning services which would be on top of £74 paid up front to Hotels.com. The room had a queen size bed with damp smelly linen and appeared...

“Wonderful staff, lovely rooms, and a beautiful property. We stayed in the "China" room. An excellent choice as an upgrade over a "basic" hotel. The included breakfast was generous and there is a private members-bar on site that we were able to visit in the evening to chat with locals. ”

“Great base for a holiday on the island, with nice walks to beaches, pubs and local shops near by. The accommodation is well kept and has everything someone self catering would need. The reception staff were great to deal with and really helpful. Very happy with our stay.”

“Lo consiglio. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Unico difetto è stato il check in lento e una strana procedura per cui ti addebitano 20 sterline all’arrivo sulla tua carta di credito nel caso consumassi qualcosa (ma in realtà non c’è nemmeno il minibar). Poi con un’altra strana procedura te le riaddebitano al check out ma non ti danno una ricevuta del riaddebito. ”

“It was clean and comfortable. The bed could have been more comfortable with a more up to date mattress but it was ok for the two nights. The only thing I would recommend is perhaps adding some extra cushions as the headboard were metal bars. This would make it far more comfortable to be able to lie in bed at night and watch the TV. The front desk people are fine but a little more enthusiasm when having a new guest to stay wouldn’t go amiss. Breakfast was great. Hot and cooked just right. Wait...

“We stayed at the Birdham for a mini-break and were very pleased with our choice. It has been recently refurbished to a good standard and was very clean. The team were all very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Bembridge itself is fairly small and quiet but it is easy to get to from the ferries and was also a good base for touring the island. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a nice place to stay for an Isle of Wight break.”
