Very middle working class family review: This was, by far, the nicest vacation home we’ve ever rented. The cleanliness was top notch. Amenities were as stated. We often rent very basic fishing cottages and we were afraid we’d be a bit out of our league with this really nice house but we really enjoyed what it had to offer.
There were four couples, grandparents, parents, two adult children couples, and one 3 year old. We played pool, poker, outdoor games, roasted marshmallows, watched movies, cooked, and used the gym room. Lots to do and plenty of room when the weather wouldn’t let us get on the lake.
Getting on the lake: we have a 20’ pontoon and we were able to park the boat fairly easily on the well wall. It was important to us for grandparents to get in and out easily and we could use the steps to help them in and out which we hoped we could. We know the lake level fluctuates dramatically. If it were a little higher, stepping over the wall into the boat would have been easy also. We could have easily fit our second boat had we brought it. Trailer parking and 3 vehicles fit comfortably.
A nice gentleman outside the day we arrived said we could use a boat ramp right at the end of the road. Convenient and worked fine.
No neighbor issues. We’ve had some unfriendly experiences in other rentals. I get it, they see a lot and I’m sure not everyone is respectful but we didn’t catch that vibe here.
We would stay again!
