“The staff were very informative and very helpful. The rooms smelt very clean and the beds were very comfy”

“Breakfast was not good. We didn't see much help in terms of getting our shower soap/liquid filled up after multiple requests. Property was renovated and hence seemed new.”

“One of the main reason we got the hotel was for the pool. It was closed over half the stay we were there. Also it is very out dated will not be going back”

“Room was clean as were the towels. We just felt this Hampton Inn needs a ‘refresh’ as paint was peeling off in the bathroom as well as the wall paper bubbling (room 417). Dings in the door…we believe it is an older Hampton…needs a refresh for sure. Breakfast was very good as the touch of ‘gift bag’with 2 bottles of water and in the morning complimentary cookies! Staff was friendly and helpful ( put our cooler freezer packs into a freezer ready for us in the morning for our next leg of our trip!)”

“We were woken up by a guest threatening to kill another guest right outside of our room and when we called the front desk, the manager was incredibly dismissive of our safety concerns. We were told the guest was still in the hotel and if it happened again, police would be called. We expressed concern that the police were not called and that the guest remained in the building, however, the manager said it was “only a verbal dispute”. This type of behavior from guests is unsafe to other guests and...

“Location was good. The room was clean. The breakfast was good. The only thing we thought was pretty marginal, was the TV picture / quality. But that was secondary because we didn’t drive down to the new River Gorge just to watch TV!—”

“The tranquil setting in the woods is perfect for a New River getaway. The screened in porch with hot tub was a real bonus. Fire pit, outdoor grill and kitchen made for a great stay. The location - close to the bridge and visitor center - was super convenient.”
