“This is a superb place to stay, with a bar and restaurant with first class staff, it has a courtesy shuttle service to the airport about 3 minutes away. I would strongly recommend this as a first class hotel to stay on Christchurch Airport. ”

“We did not order anything from the menu so cannot comment on that. However the condition of the rooms, size of the rooms for 3 adults was wonderful. Great kitchen with frypan, pots and a small oven/hotplate unit for cooking. Each unit has a small private outdoor table and chair set. There is a free laundry which was great as we had small children. There is a children's play area, beautiful grounds and the place was so handy to the airport and the northern part of Christchurch. “Very good service. Helped us with transport around the local area with no extra charge. Great food available. Ticks all of the boxes.”

“Overall we had a good stay at the motel. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Most parts of the experience were smooth and enjoyable. The only major issue was the airport shuttle service. We paid $15 to book the 6am shuttle to the airport, but it never arrived. We waited until 6:30am with no communication or update from the motel. In the end, we had to book an Uber ourselves for a very similar price just to make our flight. What was most disappointing...

“Great parking, kitchen setup was so good with everything you needed. Arrived to find our room had a leak in roof in bathroom and dining room which was due to a pipe leaking suddenly. The owner tried to arrange alternative accomodation and rang a plumber and was very apologetic. We ended up having room swapped with other guests that were arriving at midnight, so gave them time to get the plumber in and the problem sorted before they arrived, as opposed to us having no accomodation for the night...

“Golden hotel is the perfect stay once landing in Christchurch and before leaving again. Very clean and nice space. Staff is also responsive and kind with inquiries. There is a Vietnamese cafe right on the main lobby so very convenient for a quick pick me up. Overall, would stay here again so definitely recommend!”
