  • NOTE: This is a long time favorite VRBO property under new ownership. You can't see them but this property has a 4.9x rating over the past three years.

    Spend time with friends and family in the Appalachian mountains!

    Lots of room for family and friends to spread out with 2 separate work/study rooms + wet bar (a personal favorite) and indoor/outdoor dining.

    There is a short walk to both lake and river access where we provide innertubes and kayaks for your enjoyment! Nearby 'Old Barn' and 'Mill Camp' wineries draw day trippers from hours away with great skiing, hiking at mountains and New River State Parks.

    15 min to West Jefferson
    30 min to Boone

    This cabin provides year round access with asphalt roads running all the way to our driveway. The neighborhood has full time employees to maintain good year round access to the property.

    We know families often have young kids and we provide a separate room with two bunkbeds, playroom and bathroom separate from the rest of the house to give your kids their own 'place' to hang out while you enjoy the fireplace and wet bar!

    Feel free to use the entire property along with separate private river and lake access within walking distance of the cabin! We provide inter tubes and kayaks for your enjoyment.

    Short walk to both lake and river access!

Our family of 9 enjoyed a wonderful week at this property. The location was perfect between West Jefferson and Boone, near all area attractions. The home was very clean with tons of room for our 6 adults and 3 small kids. The kids’ bunk bed room and adjacent play room were a big hit! And the adults enjoyed the game room also. Sarah was great to work with and even helped return a bag we left by accident. Highly recommend the home and will definitely consider coming back!

The house was amazing. There are way to many amenities to list. Cozy,comfortable and absolutely amazing communication from Sarah if any issues arose. 15/10 recommend!!! What a beautiful home and location! Our group of 5 friends had more than enough space for sleeping arrangements and plenty of fun. Sarah was a great communicator when we had questions.

Friends Getaway

Enjoyed a holiday getaway with old and dear friends. The house is cozy and quaint. It was clean and well kept. A little smaller than anticipated, but good friends make it work. It’s a hike up the mountain, but worth it and we enjoyed the lake area to let the dogs out and play. Sarah is very responsive and friendly.

Rustic meets Modern perfection!

This cabin is truly wonderful, offering ample space for a large family spanning all ages, from children to seniors. It features delightful hidden gems like cozy office spaces and reading nooks. The front and back yards are beautifully maintained, and every amenity was thoughtfully provided. The value of this cabin is exceptional, and we hope to make it a regular destination. Fleetwood Falls is a magical mountain community, and this cabin is perfectly situated to explore all its best parts. Thank you to the owners for sharing your home with us!

Perfect Getaway for Adults and Kids

Sarah is an excellent and very responsive host. We left something at the cabin and she went above and beyond to return it to us! Our kids (ages 4-11) loved the game room, the grown ups loved the hot tub and everyone loved being in the fresh mountain air. The cabin has the perfect amount of space for everyone to be together and get still have their privacy which is important for 8 people and a dog after several days. ◡̈ Very close to both Boone and Blowing Rock and we even made a trip over to Grandfather Mountain as well.

Celebration weekend

My family came to the mountains to celebrate my son graduating with his Master's from Appalachian State University. In addition, we celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday& Mothers Day. We had 9 adults. There was plenty of rooms to sleep & the dining table had space to spare. In the well stocked kitchen, Nanny made a big breakfast every morning. We opened gifts, laughed, made memories, & popped open bottles of champagne on the back porch. One of the best houses, we have rented in the Boone area over the last 6 years! Thank you for the wonderful weekend!!

Great neighborhood, house has great layout

We are a family of 8 adults for a long weekend to the mountains. This house and neighborhood were great. Neighborhood was nestled on a mountain, easy to get to and we felt safe and not too close to the neighbors. The house layout gave us all the sleeping arrangements we needed and gave us space since it was 3 floors. Kitchen was well stocked as we cooked most of our meals, used the fire pit and hot tub. Weather was a bit rainy so we spent most of our time inside playing games in the family room downstairs and also the den on the main level. The kitchen table sat all 8 of us great. We did float and fish in the neighborhood pond/lake. Sarah was wonderful to work with.

Cute mountain getaway

We (11 people, had the 11th person approved) stayed at the Bear Den over Thanksgiving. It is located in a neighborhood, up a mountain in Fleetwood. The driveway is flat, and the house is easily accessible from it. We loved that the foyer was large enough for all of our winter jackets and shoes. We have family that live about 10 minutes away, so it was perfect for us. My SIL and I were in charge of a few Thanksgiving meals, we did buy foil tins to use but found that the kitchen was equipped with everything needed to prepare the food. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were used and worked well. We used the drip coffee maker but I think there was a Keurig too. The beds were all comfortable. We did have a 22-year-old sleep on the bottom bunk with the younger kids because we just fit the number of beds but he was comfortable and not crowded. We all took advantage of the game room. Some also used the hot tub and had a visit from deer which the kids thought was cool. There is a small office upstairs which was used for a business call. No problem with showers, some showered at night and some in the morning but we never had a problem with hot water. We did shop in the local towns, West Jefferson (15min), Boone (30min), and Blowing Rock (40min). Check-in and check-out was easy. Communication with the owner was always fast and they were so kind.
