Unsafe and unsanitary

This location was absolutely disgusting and unsafe. The front door would not stay shut without the deadbolt locked. It was very unsafe! The amount of dirt, grime, and overall lack of cleanliness throughout the place was repulsive! I didn’t feel comfortable even taking my shoes off inside the place. Within 30min of being inside, I contacted VRBO for help as I did not feel safe being at the place for what was supposed to be a 4 night stay. I have not received the response from VRBO that should have been provided. They told me that they would contact the host and facilitate a return of my money. This did not occur. The host states that VRBO never contacted them. Now that I have made the host aware of the issue, communication has ceased. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. There are no smoke detectors as each of the places they should be are just exposed wires.
A/C in the bedroom. Visible moisture built up and mold on the wall.

Flying bugs and roaches, also plumbing issues which left the space smelling awful after the 2nd day. The space looks nothing like it does in the pictures that are being advertised.

Disappointing

We received our check-in information prior to our arrival. However, the unit advertised failed to mention the large step down onto the unit entry patio without a railing and did not picture the raised area of the kitchenette that protrudes into the living area. A younger clientele would not mind either but they posed a falling or tripping hazard for us. The owner did issue a full refund to us quickly which we sincerely appreciated.

Tornados Touched Down

My Sister and I were staying at this property when I tornado touched down and we were in the eye of it. Then, a second tornado touched down. They said this was a one in 1000 year occurrence. We were flash flooding rapidly. Eli was of the most help, sending a very helpful gentleman right away. When we had to evacuate due to the emergency situation, he refunded us promptly. I would highly recommend him as your host! Thank you Eli, and your crew!
