“I gave it a one star rating only because whenever I checked in I got the key to a room someone was already in. It was 2 am and as a girl traveling alone, this was a very scary experience for me. I also want to follow that bad experience with a good experience, as the staff at the hotel were quick to refund me and go check the room they gave me, as they did not know there was someone already checked in there. “The guy that checked us in was very rude. The pillows were paper thin and the shower was an absolute geyser of water. But the room did not smell of cigarettes which was awesome! And the AC was great and if you can play some white noise on your phone to drown out the fire alarm constantly beeping in the hallway, then you’ll be great!”

“It would be nice to now when you post it online that it is under construction. I also called prior stating that there will be three of us coming at 11:30 pm can we have the couch turned down. They said yes and it never happened. We had to ask for sheets, blankets and pillows and make our own bed ar midnight. “Parking was terrible. They only have valet parking. Unfortunately, the service they use only provides one valet. Their solution is to have you leave your car with the keys in it while you check. The other issue is there is no one to assist you with your bags while you leave your car in the valet parking spot. Would not stay there again because of the parking and check in issue.”

“This is my go to hotel for my business trips to Charlotte for years. But after finding out on this trip that there is a "Destination" fee per night, I will need to rethink my future stays . I am saddened by this surprise fee that was never there before in all the years I have stayed at the Westin. I was informed that this fee provides the guest with free attraction passes, a small credit for food at the hotel restaurant, enhanced WI-FI, elite green juice.
