Alderwood Cottage, tranquillity at its finest at this beautiful country cottage. With stunning views of the surrounding lush paddocks, this is a private, spacious home where you can truly enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Southern Highlands. Make yourself at home in the spacious living areas or take in the views in the sprawling outdoor areas. Located in Glenquarry, a short drive from Bowral, this home lets you enjoy your privacy whilst still being close to shops, eateries and attractions.

We are a company that does a lot of travelling so our best means of contact would be either through the app or please email us and my Team will respond as soon as possible!

Glenquarry is small, quiet town loated in the Southern Highlands region of New South Wales. It makes a great base for those looking for a tranquil, peaceful stay, featuring lush and srpawling paddocks and fields. It is nearby to wineries, and is a short drive away from the Southern Highlands hubs of Bowral and Mittagong.

The entire place is yours to enjoy. Open one of the complimentary bottles of wine and enjoy Alderwood!

This is a spacious, light-filled home, with contemporary interiors and modern appliances. It is a private, cosy home that boasts views of the sprawling paddocks. Inside, the sleek kitchen leads into the open-plan living area, which flows out onto the outdoor space. The bedrooms and bathrooms are modern and well-designed, featuring plenty of space for your comfort.

Public transport
Public transport in Glenquarry is fairly limited, however, there are a few stops on Kangaloon Road which services routes that can take you between Wollongong, Moss Vale and Bundanoon.

Ride sharing
There are taxi options in the Southern Highlands area, however, it is best to book these in advance as they may not be readily available.

Getting there
The property is approximately a 1-hour, 40-minute drive from the Sydney CBD or a 2 hour drive from Canberra.

HOUSE RULES:
*Check-in: After 3:00 pm
*Checkout: 10:00 am
*No parties or events
*No smoking allowed
*Pets are allowed (special requirements are in place for this. Please refer to the additional rules below).

ADDITIONAL RULES:
*As per the Short Term Legislation Act 2020 NSW, all guests are required to obey these rules. For extra guests/day visitors, we must be informed for liability purposes.

*In compliance with applicable legislation, we are required to enter a Short Term Rental Agreement with Guests upon booking. We are also transitioning from collecting a Security Deposit and will now be using a Pre-Authority form to hold as a form of security for your stay.

*This is a no-party property. We do not allow parties/events of any sort. The maximum amount of guests allowed to sleep in this property is FOUR people, however, we do allow day visitors of up to TWO people. No more than a maximum of SIX people are allowed in the property at any given time.

*Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission.

*This home is a strictly no-smoking property. If any of our cleaners find any form of cigarette ash, butts or smell cigarettes in the apartment, we could issue a $500 fine.

*This is a domestic residence and we love our neighbours. We do not allow loitering or loud noise outside of the premises or inside of the premises. We ask for minimal noise especially after 9 pm.

*STRA Rules - By booking this home you automatically agree to all the STRA terms and conditions that are applicable to guests. You also agree that if you do break any of the house rules you will be asked to leave and no refund of the unused nightly rates will be returned.

*Check-in/Check-out - We cannot stress enough the importance of checking out on time. Our regular check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out time is before to 10 am. If you wish to have an earlier check-in or later check-out, please reach out to us first. Please note, there may be a charge.

* Pets - We are a pet-friendly property. We ask all our guests to contact us for approval of pets before booking and include your request in the reservation form as there is a pet fee of $110 per stay to cover the cost of extra cleaning and disinfection. Please do not allow your pets to do on the furniture.

*Pets are to be kept within the confines of the cottage courtyard and are not be taken off the leash pass the fence down the paddock. This is a working nursery and there are resident dogs on site. Please do not allow your pets on any of the furniture

*Changing of Dates Terms & Conditions
- Requests to change booking dates may only be accommodated if check-in is more than 1 month away.
- This is subject to approval and we reserve the right to decline any requests.
- Please note that there may be a surcharge to change the dates.
- Any changes to bookings are subject to approval and we ask all guests to reach out to us first..

THINGS TO KNOW:

* This property is suitable for babies or children and we provide a travel cot, however we do not provide the linen. The cot is in the bedroom cabinet for you to set up. We do not provide a highchair, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

*Checkin details will be sent either the night before checking in, or the morning of check-in for security reasons.

*All the amenities in the property are subject to availability due to a pandemic.

*Access to the Nursery which is 223 Sproules Lane is within walking distance.

*Access to the dam is via the gate at the back of the cottage.

*We also provide breakfast such as cereal, milk, fruit, yoghurt and toast.

* We only provide 1 set of keys for each stay. We do not have extra sets.

Beautiful appointment property everything was catered for your needs but There is no welcome msg no information on how to use things where the bin is commutation was very limited no broom to sweep, no cleaning products one tea towel very good for a couple of days, need more things for a longer stay.

Wow. Everything about Alderwood Cottage was amazing. From location, parking access and the cottage itself. I am sure the cottage was purposely built for holiday rentals, it lacks absolutely nothing. The extras including a bottle of wine, breakfasts, so many kitchen spices and extras, left us leaving there after a four night stay with a conscious that we should have paid more for our stay. This property was so wonderfully presented and equiped that perfect best describes it.

The property is charming, in a tranquil rural location, beautifully presented with generous inclusions like good quality wine and chocolates, plus breakfast items. We found the check-in timing of 3.00 pm inconvenient as we had planned to quickly drop off our bags and freshen up before attending an event at nearby Milton Park at 2.00 pm. We could have paid an additional fee for an earlier check-in time but decided not to do this on top of the rental cost. Although the property is in a peaceful location our sleep was disturbed on both nights by the noise of what seemed to be a pump or filter in the water tank adjacent to the cottage, so light sleepers should be aware of this. We would not stay again for the above reasons.

This was an excellent location, an excellent property and the little touches, Like wine and chocolate on arrival just made everything even better. Despite the cold we had.a fire pit with marshmallows and watched the stars for hours. The owners live on site but we didn’t hear a peep From them (hope it was the same the other way around). Highly recommended.

Beautiful cottage with modern day conveniences. So relaxing. Sad to have to come back to city hussle. Peaceful and tranquil but easy trip back into Bowral. Loved the weekend and the cottage was emaculate.

Perfect place for a couple or even by yourself. Peaceful, relaxing and elegantly decorated, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away. The fire pit was an extra bonus as was the wine and chocolates on arrival. The owner really knows how to care for the property and their guests. We will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The facilities were amazing - heating, kitchen goodies/treats, firm and comfy beds - the whole experience was relaxing and welcoming. Just a short drive to Bowral and surrounding areas. I would recommend and visit again.
