“Suite was homely and cozy, downtown Peterborough is fairly accessible by car, and convenience store right down the road. The property has a beautiful garden visible from the patio with lots of birds visiting for those into birdwatching. Host was knowledgeable about attractions in the area, recommending multiple places for us to visit.”

“Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!”

The pool area can use an update; it looks a bit run down but we really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor transition! Thin walls made hard to rest properly, between wedding goers and some teenagers knocking at our doors randomly...”

“My husband and I travel a lot for Highland Games and strongman. We have stayed at many places. This was a great experience. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fabulous, the room was clean and updated, this was one of the best beds we have slept in as well. It was nicely placed with a lot of dining and shopping options as well as parks.”
