Perfect Location with Incredibly Helpful Staff!
Could not say enough good things about this hotel! First, our flight was delayed out of the US which forced us to arrive a day later and into Heraklion instead. The staff were extremely helpful and responsive in adjusting our car rental reservation for this change. We also unfortunately received a traffic ticket on our way and again staff gave us easy and detailed instructions on where/how to pay this. Lastly, we left our Kindle behind and they mailed it to our next destination! Thank you Vranas for making a stressful travel situation much more relaxing! The hotel is perfectly located in the old town with a beautiful view overlooking the harbor. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and breakfast delicious. We would absolutely not hesitate to stay here again!

The room was very nicely decorated and the balcony view of the harbour was awesome. Our room was the one with the pool inside on the first floor. However, Inside the bathroom there was mold. The pool had no chlorine in it which i thought was disgusting. And finally, what bothered me the most and the things that will never allow me to even consider staying there again are the roaches. I must have seen around 10 of them throughout our room. I hope they fumigate....hotel has alot of potential. Staff was helpful as well.

Wir hatten eine super tolle Zeit und überlegen schon wann wir wiederkommen können. Die Suite ist super geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und der Ausblick auf den ganzen Hafen traumhaft. Wir saßen eine Woche lang jeden Morgen (beim leckeren Frühstück) und spät abends nur am offenen Fenster und haben die Atmosphäre genossen. Die Gastgeber sind extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unsere Angst es könnte wegen dem Treiben im Hafen Nachts laut werden hat sich zum Glück nicht bestätigt. Die Suite ist nach außen hin sehr gut isoliert.

The hotel is a small boutique hotel in the heart of old Chania town. That means, there are no cars where this hotel is, it is a short walk (5 mins) from where the taxi would drop you off. On arrival, we were greeting by Angelina from the front desk, she walked to the taxi stop to meet us to ensure that we could find our way. Already the service was beyond anything we expected. The hotel is an old building that maintained its charm with modern renovations. I will say this - it looks EXACTLY like the photos posted on the hotel's website. There is no photoshop here. I didn't add much photos of the room because they look exactly like the ones that the hotel have on their website. It was beautiful and very spacious, clean and comfortable. Located right near the harbor, and overlooking the water. We had the penthouse, it was amazing, we loved the outside terrace with full dining table and chairs with a patio umbrella. There was a full kitchen with dishes and utensils, stove etc....no microwave. The upstairs bedroom had a very large hot tub, and a rainshower head. It was extremely quiet and comfortable. The views from the room were absolutely beautiful. The service was really amazing. Each morning, we had breakfast brought to our room. Even on one occasion they brought it at a time just to be able to accommodate our schedule. Angelina and George helped us tremendously with any transportation needs, recommendations on restaurants and anything else we needed.

This hotel is one of a kind. It is possibly one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The room is huge and uniquely built, facing the harbor with direct view of the light house. The room was so big and comfortable, I can be just as happy staying in and gazing out to the water all day. The location is so convenient with charming alleyways at every which way. More importantly, there is no shortage of great restaurants and cafes. The staff are wonderful. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend this hotel for it is not just a place to sleep and have showers, but truly an unforgettable experience.

Surpassed all expectations!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Residenza Vranas - it was the highlight of a multi-week honeymoon trip. The staff went out of their way to make it a special visit for us, upgrading our room to the beautiful penthouse and leaving us wine, desserts, and flowers in our room. The view from the penthouse terrance was absolutely stunning - we spent a good amount of time enjoying our wine and people-watching over the harbor below. The room itself is beautifully decorated, with nice wood floors and tasteful details. The bed was very comfortable, shower was great - all of the little details were in order. Service was wonderful - they were very helpful with answering questions and making suggestions, and generously allowed us to check out a bit late. And the breakfast! Huge and delicious. Really, every step of the way they exceeded my expectations, and I'm so grateful to have had such a memorable experience. I absolutely recommend staying here for a special experience and I hope we're able to return!

This hotel is the BEST hotel in Chania for multiple reasons. Before even arriving I emailed them a question about parking and they answered immediately . You are not able to park in front of hotel because it its located in the historical district that is closed off to cars but I was told parking was available free with in a short walk to hotel. When we picked up our rental car the rental company told us it was the best hotel in Chania and we couldn't agree more. The LOCATION and VIEW is everything!! Surrounded by many wonderful restaurants and shops. Huge windows slide open over looking the harbor . The interior was immaculate and gorgeous. The front desk was hospital and very knowledgeable. We were interested in booking a private boat and they had information within minutes. We had a complimentary brunch and we could not believe how BIG it was. Yogurt , fruits, toasts, cakes, omelets, the most amazing orange juice and more delivered to our room. I highly recommend this hotel and we would come back here in a heartbeat!!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Totally beautiful hotel located in the heart of old town Chania with very large rooms (more like condominium units than hotel rooms). They serve a great breakfast every morning that they bring to your room. If you come to Crete definitely stay here.

TOP DESTINATION IN CHANIA!
Residenza Vranas took care of us better than any other places we have been to (and we travel a lot). This was the best experience we have had in years. Your staff was amazing, anything we needed they brought to us. They were efficient, attentive and not intrusive. I was also very impressed with the equipments, the open plan suite, the "A" sea view and the breakfast! Thank you very much for making this visit so successful. I highly recommend Residenza Vranas Boutique Hotel for anyone coming to Chania!

Residenza Vranas is incredible! This isn’t a 3, or a 5 star hotel, but a 10 star—if there were such a thing! We just returned from a stay at this gorgeous gem of a hotel, in a newly renovated luxury suite. We’ve traveled around the world and have been lucky to enjoy memorable vacation moments at fine hotels in Paris, London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Venice, Rome, and more, but Residence Vranas—set on the stunningly beautiful and picturesque harbor of Chania on the island of Crete—provided us with our BEST and dreamiest vacation memories ever! It’s the *best-kept secret* in Chania, or in all of Greece, for that matter—we loved the experience of staying in the suite so much, we didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Intimate and family-owned, the impeccably restored historic building has been redone and modernized with attention to every single detail. One of the suites has its own private plunge pool in the suite itself, and the penthouse suite—where we were fortunate to stay—has a rooftop deck and two levels of rooms with a master suite that features its own, *HUGE* in-room jacuzzi! Located in the best spot of town. The rooms have amazing views. Rooms are spotless, & new. Beds are very comfortable. The staff is extremely professional & welcoming. If we ever went back to the island, i would stay at the same location.

The room(s) was stunning. The conversion of this harbour front building has been done with great care. We stayed in the 3rd floor room which was huge with the most amazing view on the harbour/port area. I just cant fault it. The interior design was beautiful and the owners had thought of everything They were more than welcoming and so helpful with advice. The stay was worth every penny. I would love to try the other rooms too. Sadly we were only there one night and I think at least two would be better. The fridge had some sparkling wine and delicious local patisserie which we were unable to consume all of as our time was too short. We will definitely be back!!!

Worst Hotel Experience of my Life.
This hotel COULD have been fantastic...except the fact I never got to stay there. I booked this hotel for my honeymoon and made an adjustment to cancel one day on the trip. They saw the one day cancel and cancelled all of my days. When I got there, I had no room as they thought I cancelled and booked my room up for other people. To compound the issue, the staff was VERY inept at customer service. I implored them to help, and the help they offered was to walk NEXT DOOR to see if that hotel had rooms. Literally any human can do that in five seconds. They did have one room still available for one night, which they offered to allow me to book. However, they didn't offer to discount for one night or give me a night for their mistake. That would have been the help they could have offered at the beginning. To add to the frustration, the two women there were really weird about the situation. They were comforting each other at the mistake they made and at one point one of the ladies was stroking the other ladies arm to comfort her. They said after I booked somewhere else they would have offered a discount for the one night I could have booked with them but they were too flustered to know to offer it. Really the entire thing was probably the weirdest and worst experience I have ever had at a hotel or anyone trying to provide a service. It is too bad because their rooms looked fantastic.
