“Breakfast, and the staff in the breakfast area, were great. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful at check-in and every morning. The room was comfortable (the air conditioner was pretty loud when the compressor kicked in). The shower was great. The only problem was that housekeeping never came to clean or replenish the towels in the six days we stayed, even when we stopped by the front desk in the morning to inform them that we would be away for the day. “The staff is great. They must have kept my notes from a prior stay, they put me in a corner room/ top floor which was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Bed linens impeccably clean. Interior of the room clean and well maintained.
That said, cosmetically speaking, the property is showing signs of wear, which is to be expected, I suppose.

Only one elevator worked room seemed a little beat up and neglected the ceiling air handler cover did not look good was not able to access the Wi-Fi that was very difficult after entering all the information and it said it wasn’t available overall was not impressed with the place.

“One elevator of the 3 worked. The pool needs to be shocked, my room was dirty upon arrival crumbs and old glow sticks. They did change the towels and make the beds, unfortunately they didn't clean the shower or vacuum. The poor staff was way over worked and basic upkeep of the property was poor.”

“I have stayed at the Schooner Inn several times in the past 2 years traveling between Greenville, NC and Dover, DE to visit family. It is a great location and convenient to restaurants. The room is clean and very comfortable. One of my favorite restaurants is the Waterman’s Grill and is walking distance. Strongly recommend staying here.”

“I booked a room for my son under his name because he was traveling to the area on company business. After working all day and arriving close to midnight, he was informed by the front desk clerk that he could not check in because I had paid for the reservation, despite his name being listed on it.
Given the late hour, he had no choice but to find and pay for another hotel room. To make matters worse, the hotel refused to refund the original reservation.
This is a very disappointing way to treat...

“It was a great overall stay only issue was the parking, the lot is not big enough for the rooms being reserved and bar / restaurant. Had to park on street even though they charge 10$ parking daily.
They did refund me for the days I had to park on the street.”
