Hotel vicino a HK on the Bay - Virginia Beach

“My hair smelled like cigarettes after sleeping in the bed and there were burnt marks in the bath tub and the comforter. Building was old but not upkeep at all.”

“Towels and rag along with bed sheets were dirty. The tub wasn’t clean when we arrived. There were dead bugs behind the beds. Definitely will not be returning.”

On the day of check-in, my flight was delayed, so I called the hotel and spoke with the manager. I explained that I would be arriving late, and she assured me that it would not be a problem. “Upon arriving , we had a late check in! When arrived the room smelled bad! Like sweat or mildew. Further inspection - One of the beds had a blood stain ( period blood) on it. So it looks like the duvet cover wasn’t washed because it was fresh. Like someone was in that room. We were able to get fresh sheets. I would say they need to update their furniture. The toilet paper handle was broken, water pressure in the sink is horrible , the tub needs to be redone with the chalk. Toilet moved a lot...

“Molto vicina sia all'aeroporto (ottimo se si ha un volo al mattino presto) che ad un grande e conveniente outlet. Andrebbe però migliorata la pulizia specialmente nel bagno.”

“The only complain I can think of was a trace of moldy smell when ac is off. Everything else was perfect. The room was spacious, the beds and pillows were comfortable. Good breakfast. The bathroom seems to be recently updated. Would love the frosted glass in the shower for privacy and a few hooks. The location is great with multiple food options within walking distance. Plenty parking spots. The swimming pool, gym and laundry were not crowded and available to use.”

“Room was clean but certainly no frills. Pretty much what I expected based on the rate. Believe I got value for my money. Would consider staying again. Location is good with many retail establishments along the road.”

“Nice light clean rooms with excellent heat and air system. Free shuttles to airport. One drawback was Website said shuttle to airport starts at 6 am. When I arrived at Doubletree I was told Shuttle started at 4 AM not 6 am. I could have taken an early flight if the website was correct. That was the only negative”
