“Best hotel we stayed at in our whole trip. The room was a much welcomed change to the standard small hotel rooms in Japan that we got for the same cost, breakfast buffet was good though the food was the same on the 2 days we tried it. There are plenty of good restaurants to try within a few minutes walk and the bus stops right in front of the hotel were convenient. I wish we stayed longer but will definitely be back on our next trip. ”

“Easy to get to, amazing staff that can flexibly switch from Japanese to English if needed. Food is amazing, the Japanese Breakfast is both beautiful and delicious. Nice accommodations, calm hot springs baths, both public and private. Would return for another Ryokan getaway.”

“Family of four (with 8yo twins) stayed here in November 2025. It's a beautiful inn, comfortable and clean and quiet, with friendly staff and good food for breakfast and dinner. The bath is lovely -- staff help you book a time in the evening at check in, and it's available on a first come first served basis in the morning. Free shuttles up to Gora in the morning are also a bonus (although you'll have to get yourself to Asante in the afternoon/evening as they don't offer shuttles then). Overall a...

“We loved this place - private onsen, foot bath and sauna; so much space; very modern, clean and comfortable. Location was convenient- only 5 minutes walk from Kowakudani station ( although be aware that the walk is along curvy roads and parts of the walk have no footpath so it can be a bit dangerous at night). The only negative is there is no front desk and therefore no luggage forwarding or storage before checkin or after checkout.”

Abbiamo optato per la camera con l’onsen privato ed era bellissima, la cena prevedeva diversi piatti della tradizione giapponese, dormire nei futon è stato più comodo del previsto. Il tutto è stato sicuramente reso più autentico da una graziosa signora che ci ha servito la cena e predisposto i futon, non parlava inglese e forse era meglio così. La...
