The bath is lovely -- staff help you book a time in the evening at check in, and it's available on a first come first served basis in the morning. “We loved this place - private onsen, foot bath and sauna; so much space; very modern, clean and comfortable. Location was convenient- only 5 minutes walk from Kowakudani station ( although be aware that the walk is along curvy roads and parts of the walk have no footpath so it can be a bit dangerous at night). The only negative is there is no front desk and therefore no luggage forwarding or storage before checkin or after checkout.”

“Easy to get to, amazing staff that can flexibly switch from Japanese to English if needed. Food is amazing, the Japanese Breakfast is both beautiful and delicious. Nice accommodations, calm hot springs baths, both public and private. Would return for another Ryokan getaway.”

“I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff spoke excellent English, and breakfast was amazing. But you have to be prepared to Uber everywhere because the roads aren’t exactly walkable. There are some good food options around - especially Box Burger.”
