Hotel a Hallettsville

“Hotel was not as I expected. I was hoping to find a family owned, well cared for, small town hotel but instead we found a small town, family owned tired and outdated hotel. The beds were not bad, but the hotel itself needs much updated. The bed skirts were dirty and torn, the base molding on the walls were coming off, the room refrigerator was nasty, the carpet was dirty and the bathroom floor was dirty. “Pool was unusable. Asked for refund and was denied. We booked this specifically to spend a day with our kids at the pool.”

“The check in was super simple. The place was so cute and clean. We loved our stay. The only thing was the shower is definitely not made for tall people, which we both are. It does have a removable shower head so we did make do. Otherwise it was a 10/10 stay.”

“Nice one night stop on our way to the coast”

“When trying to get into our room the safety latch had been turned to keep anyone from getting into the room. Had to go back to lobby to get help. The clerk tried to accuse us of turning the latch. Told her we were just checking in and haven't even been in the room. She had no way to get the door open. Had to go back to lobby to get another room. Then back to get my partner and carry everything to another floor. Was very inconvenient since we are elderly. Breakfast wasn't anything to brag about.”

“Breakfast was minimal but sufficient. Check in with Chris was pleasant. Checkout was a little weird. I called a couple of times & rang the bell. They finally showed. Other than that, quiet property. I'll use again.”

“I did one overnight stay with my boyfriend and one year old. Unfortunately the pool was out of service, but the hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. We drove in to Columbus, which was 10 minutes down I 10 towards Houston to go to a steakhouse and popped into their Hound song brewery for an appetizer and beer. Very easy location to access off of the interstate and close to gas stations, fast food, and Dollar General.”

“For an advertised non-smoking room, it smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was stained and in disrepair. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were flat and not enough of them. It was cheap and convenient but I’d probably not stay there again. Towels were clean and having a fridge and microwave was nice for such a cheap room. Lack of deadbolts and safety bar was unsettling. The young lady at the counter was very courteous and brought my ID to my room when I forgot to take...

“Room was smelly...smelled like mildew and felt damp, it was really unpleasant. Hotel itself was fine, clean, ok breakfast.”

“TV didn't work in the room, landscaping was ridiculous, no ice on the property even though sign in vending area said contact front office for ice. Breakfast was 4 honeybuns and stale cereal with brown bananas. This establishment should not be able to represent the name Budget Inn and suites!”
