“One day before my family's planned arrival, I received a call from the operator's husband to say there was no hot water and he wanted to give me the opportunity to book an alternative stay. I understood this to mean a refund would be given in this event. It was late to book elsewhere so initially my family agreed to go regardless but as no further communication was forthcoming despite several attempts I booked elsewhere. “Bar was good, comfortable bed and excellent staff at reception. The life guard was also very accommodating with the locker as I couldn’t see due to leaving my glasses in the room. ”

“The room itself was pleasant and clean. The staff were helpful. The hotel itself is getting dated and in need of a bit of refurbishment. One major issue, no restaurant. No food available at all, no evening meal, no breakfast, even though breakfast was available when I booked. It could be so much more, set in lovely grounds, quite a nice building, but suffering from a lack of attention to decoration. ”
