“Pristine is the word I’ll use to describe the grounds of Strawberry Hills. Felt like I was close to heaven🙂 because we were so far in the mountains of Irish Town, St Andrew. The rooms were immaculately maintained and the decor complimented the architectural period of the cottages. We woke up early to witness a magnificent sunrise then enjoy a fresh delicious breakfast. “The owners were so kind and helpful. This is THE hidden treasure of Kingston. Bob Marley beach is walking distance and the rooftop patio was breathtaking. The AC in the rooms was perfect to cool off after a hot day. This hotel also has a bar and the pool is cute and deep enough for the kids to jump in. The rooms are very traditional Jamaican style/decor and VERY clean. The wifi was strong and overall this was a fabulous likkle spot. Mi soon come back”

“The home was authentic Jamaican, gated and secure. I arrived late in the day with an emerging dental emergency. The next morning this required immediate attention. The Hostess Tamara walked with me to a nearby Dental Centre to be successfully treated. As I returned and departed for the International Airport, the host Shane taxied me to the airport for a flat $25 rate as advertised, (airport taxis were asking for $35-$45 for the same transport.) The hosts were welcoming, attentive and gracious....

“Beautiful modern grounds. Reception are friendly, nice gym n pool. They left a nice package of tea/coffee and hot chocolate which was a nice touch. Central location too - I would definitely stay here again”

“Starlight Chalet is a very nice, well maintained classic building with beautiful landscaping. The view is wonderful, especially from upstairs and from the gazebo. The food was very good (but perhaps a bit expensive). The beds were comfortable and the room/bathroom was clean and well-maintained. There is no AC, but the temperature at 3500' was much cooler than in the adjacent lowlands so AC was not essential. We went on several birding excursions and found lots of good birds. If you go,...

“The property was clean The house keeper was curious and helpful. The property is more like a bed and breakfast place in my opinion. It gives a homey vibe. I felt safe there. The breakfast was ok. Most mornings items on the menu were not available the shared living space was very hot. The shower area had a funny smell. Overall I enjoyed my stay there”
