“Absolutely fabulous! About the best hotel experience I've had. However when we arrived (middle of winter), the room temp was 29 dec C. Did not bother us at all. Just turned the air con off & opened a window. Only mentioned this as eco is in the ratings. As the temp throughout the hotel was so warm we did not need to turn the air back on @ all. ”

“From the moment we checked in with Sahil at reception, he was fantastic, very helpful and polite, lovely to chat too. Every morning and evening we left to go out, all staff acknowledge us. Breakfast here was absolutely fantastic chef is amazing and coffees were the best. Highly recommend to stay here and we look forward to coming back in the future.”

“We spent several days there last week. The room was comfortable & clean. Our only comment was the hairdryer was out of another era. We needed some extra towels & the staff quickly got them. The staff were wonderful. Everyone was pleasant & accommodating. We arrived late due to a flight change & were able to arrange to pick up a key using technology. My daughter figured it out. I would have had a bit of a problem! Breakfasts were included & delicious. We needed to have them ready quickly a few...

“The renovated hotel that is since 1875, we enjoyed to stay historic building. The room we stayed King heritage twin for 2 adults and 2 children, it's enough space to stay. Only one thing that I feel too bad is we need much time the room become warm due to high ceiling. ”

“The accommodation we stayed in were converted stables. The rooms were well appointed, recently decorated and warm (we stayed in winter). The accommodation is annexed to the hotel. The hotel is the epitome of a country pub with traditional pub fair, eight ball and friendly locals in their seats at the bar. Not a refined experience but everything we were after, we were comfortable, fed well and welcomed.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I was not expecting much but the room was a really good size with a dining table and 2 seater couch. I loved the unusual angular shape of the ceiling and the “window to the sky” was a cool idea. The bed was very comfortable and location was great, in the main st Richmond. We had the private ensuite room and it was up a few stairs so I was glad we did not have too much luggage! The attached bistro had good meals and was a popular spot. ”
