We are soooooo bummed!

We first arrived to a what seemed to be amazing house, the first day the water slide and waterfall wasn’t working. We were informed a member of their maintenance team would arrive shortly and asked for us to stay there to meet him. He told us he couldn’t fix it but he would try to get a pool company to come over. At 7:00 pm day two of the trip the pool guy finally showed up and told us he didn’t have time to fix the rest of the issues and he was just doing a buddy a favor and had no idea who even owned the house. After he left, our children swam for a bit more and we all called it a night. Day 3, 4 and 5 we had a 68 degree pool! Whatever the first pool company did disprupted the heating in the pool. We were assured on all of those days the issue would be repaired by end of day. The second pool company arrived late in the day on day 5 of our 7 day stay. Got the pool running but whatever they did, also gave all of my 4 children what our family pediatrician says some of the worst chlorine Chemical pool irritation he’s seen……..they did reach out on the last day after we had been told by one of their employees we would receive a refund for every day we didn’t have heat in the pool. Bricks are falling off the hot tub into the pool. Upstairs window does not shut nor latch(huge safety concern) I have multiple other issues, but it will only let me add so much. Very disappointed, they did reach out to offer a 300 dollar credit. We declined, they said they would counter, no calls yet.

Great pool and cute home

We loved the house itself and the location is amazing! So nice to have the beach so close that if the kids gets sick if the beach we can easily walk back to the pool. The house was beautiful - the furniture confused us though. You could sleep like 20 people but the furniture in the sitting/tv area was very dated not so clean and barely sat five people. The pool was not lighted and there was not pool furniture like pictured— the backyard looked a lot different than the picture furniture wise. I still gave it a 5/5 because it’s a beautiful house we were just confused and a little disappointed with the furniture inside and outside. We loved that the house had bikes and beach supplies and loved the pool.

Weeks vacation

The house was comfortable. Kitchen needs items updated/replaced. Knives were extremely dull, 1 dishtowel for a weeks stay,no pot holders,only 1 wine glass. The living room furniture did not provide enough seating for our family, sofa was stained! Pool area was very nice.

AMI vacation

Dealing with AMI vacations was a straight forward, organized and easy process. We really appreciated their fast response on the malfunctioning grill. The house was just the right size for all of us, was clean and beautiful great pool and location. We were sad to see the rent more than double for next year, making the house no longer affordable for us.

Excellent experience at a destination property

Loved everything about this property and very much hope to return. Wonderful location in an adorable town with little traffic or outside noise. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable and well spaced bedrooms. Kids only left the pool to go to the beach. Didn't want to leave and can't wait to return.

great house although in a residential neighborhood!

The house was a great place to unwind with friends/family there is a lot of room and everything was well kept and beautifully designed. The only issue I had with the actual funccionality of the was that the jacuzzi would nit get heated properly. it would just stay cold most of the time. Also as I stated in my title the neighborhood being residential caused us a lot of issues with noise complaints. I've never had any issues with any other houses I rented before and their have been about 10 houses overall. With this one the local authorities were called more then once because of the noise complaint. We couldn't play our music and we couldn't even talk loud they referred to us. So that was a huge bummer when your on vacation in a beach house. Overall the stay was great. Each room had it's own bathroom and there were plenty of beds to go around for I'd say about 16 people tops. The proximity to the beach was super close I'd say about half a block away. which was super convenient. Would I stay there again? I'd say no because even though the proximity to the beach was nice and the house was overall comfy the noise complaints wasn't worth it. I'm on vacation I want to unwind and have fun not be worried about those unnecessary complaints.

Perfect Beach Getaway

This property was perfect for our family holiday get away. Each room was fit with an on suite bathroom for every groups privacy. The kids had a blast in the heated pool and the kitchen and living area was ideal for our evening get togethers after coming back from our short walk to the beach for sunset each evening. Would highly recommend this property and hope to stay here again soon.

AMI 2020

The house was perfect for our family. Upon arrival it was very clean, everything we needed in bathrooms and kitchen was available. We only had a few minor issues, one being the pool and yard lights in backyard didn't work, therefore making the backyard pretty dark in the evening. My grandkids loved the pool with the slide, that is definitely a plus. Overall, it is a great house, and we would definitely consider renting it again when we are back at AMI. Also, the location is perfect!

Excellent location, comfortable home great for families

We had a wonderful stay at Pineapple Paradise, the home was perfect for our one week vacation. It is located just one block away from the beach and the pool area was great for our family, the children really loved the slide! There are a few things that I thought would make us a little more comfortable: 1) the property owner/management shoulf Consider purchasing new tableware as plates are very scratched. There were no champagne glasses and only 3 wine glasses. This was not enough for the amount of guests. Also the bar could use mixers, glasses, ice buckets, trays. 2) the refrigerator does not make ice and does not cool well. They did provide ice which we were grateful for! Also there is a note saying to allow 24 hrs without opening the fridge so that it may cool properly however, It’s hard not to access a fridge for 24 hours when you have a house full of people. 3) foosball table is very rusty and old 4) no smart tvs in the rooms only cable but truthfully we don’t Really watch cable TV anymore or pay for a movie, netflix would be a better option. 5) ping pong table is hidden and not enough space to play, a movie theatre would be better use for this space in my opinion. 6) no furniture on balconies, we had to stand to enjoy sunrise/sunsets 7) pillows could use an upgrade 8) not enough trash bins around the house 9) beach chairs are broken and very rusty, all need to be replaced for new ones 10) no wine cooler In the home or cooler to take ice/drinks to the beach 11) wifi was not steady throughout the home We would return to this home in the future.

The best place to self quarantine!

We had a beautiful time with our children and our grandchildren. Beautiful house with so much space for all 13 of us! The pool was a big hit, the location was ideal just a block to the beach. The only unfortunate part was the looming virus so we didn't venture out much but we were all grateful to be in this paradise together.

Plenty of room for everyone!

We had a large party of 11 and this home provided everyone several spaces to choose from to spend time. From the pool/hot tub lower level, to several little porches, to the upstairs rooftop space or the family room/kitchen area - it was nice to be able to feel like we could all spread out and not be on top of each other all the time! The large dining table was also a great to play games in the evenings! The walk to the beach was quick and easy!! The house was pretty and everything seemed to be in good shape. One thing that I would suggest would be to add hooks to hang towels to dry in the bathrooms or on the back of doors, or even outside on porch area. Also would be nice if there were some type of shelves in the showers to put your shampoo, etc. And bath mats would be a welcome addition as the floors could be very slippery. None of those items would stop us from coming back! Just something that would be nice and make the stay a little easier. The maintenance person, Tom, did a great job of making sure the grounds were ready for us. He even replaced the grill that was broken before we had a chance to call and ask. All in all, it was a lovely home and great location!!

Very good

Beautiful and clean house very close to the beach. We stayed two families and the kids really enjoyed the pool. We never figured out how to heat the jacuzzi but the water slide was very appreciated. Seating in the dining area/kitchen was a bit limited but not a problem for us. Overall we are very satisfied with Anna Maria Island and our stay in this house.

The Perfect Rental

What a beautiful house and perfect location! This was our first trip to AMI with our two adult sons, their wives, and children. There were ample bedrooms/baths for privacy and space but the pool and slide were the highlight. We spent most of our time and meals there. We were a little concerned about the rusted legs on the loungers because we all got scraped up one time or another but midweek new loungers were delivered so it was impressive to know they’re on top of things like that. We also noticed that the beach chairs and umbrella had been newly replaced which was great since the beach was so close with easy accessibility. Lots of beach towels were supplied! Loved the attention to the decor and livability for a beach house. The flooring was perfect for indoor/outdoor living. While the kitchen/dining/gathering area was spacious and open, the living area seating was limited, but we spent most of our time by the pool, anyway. Also, kudos for the pool maintenance! He came twice during the week which I’m sure we needed because of how much it was used. The only thing I wish could be changed would be a few more “staples” supplied. It’s spelled out in the rental agreement so we were aware but it would be nice not to have to buy Kleenex, more trash bags, more dishwasher soap, salt and pepper, cooking oil, etc. Overall though, it couldn’t have been better! We would definitely consider renting it again!

Amazing House for a large group!!! Will definitely book it again

We had a wonderful stay at Pineapple Paradise!!! It was very clean, with very comfortable beds, and had more then enough space for our group of 12. This house came equipped with enough indoor and outdoor kitchenware (plates, cups, utensils) for a group even larger then ours. It even had pool towels washed and ready for us to use. Not only was the pool amazing but there was also a ping pong table and a foosball table available. The roof top deck was a great place to catch the sunrise and sunset. The owner was very quick to answer any questions we had, and always helpful with her answers. I would highly recommended this house, it was wonderful!!!

The house was excellent for our family vacation.

The house was beautiful, pool was nice and in very close proximity to the beach. We would definitely rent again. The only suggestions we have would be more washcloths as the house was limited for the number of people the house can occupy, lightbulbs be replaced, outdoor grill cleaned and hand soap in the bathrooms.

Great location but needs to be cleaner

Anna Maria island is beautiful, the home is nice, proximity to the beach.....perfect! But, like many of the reviews state changes need to be made. -There is an issue with the keypad. We struggled many times to get into the home because the key pad would lock so quickly. -Cleanliness is a BIG issue. The floors and carpets need to be vacuumed. My kids had other people’s hair all over their clothes from the carpets and bedding. There were hairs on the stove. -The bedding is dirty. There were stains on the duvets and pillows....The bedding needs to be washed or replaced. -Some of the dishes were dirty. Bowls had leftover cereal. UGH. -There are wires hanging out in the laundry room, the fan cover in one of the bathrooms is hanging from the ceiling with the wires showing. All in all my family loved Anna Maria Island, the beach and the pool! We loved that there were pool toys, chairs for the beach and ping pong. Will we visit Anna Maria again? ABSOLUTELY! Will we rent this home again? No.

Great Location - Plenty of Bathrooms!

A really great house in many ways. Did I mention all the bathrooms. Also from the roof terrace (not shaded) you can see the water on both sides of the island. The master bedroom on the 3rd level also has a nice shaded porch for two which is a great place to have coffee in the morning. The grandkids enjoyed the pool and the slide a lot. While a lot of space overall the living area/kitchen is a little on the small side. But not a big deal given the other amenities. It was nice having two garages available. The cooks in the group wished that there had been more pots and pans. And a good number of the lights were burnt out. Rather than going through the hassle we just went ahead and replaced 8 bulbs in the kitchen and bathrooms. All in all we would definitely rent this home again. It is for sale though so be aware the availability could change.

Great House, horrible management

First we were given the wrong code to get into the house and were not able to get into it for 2 hours. Then NO WATER! Not paying the water bill and allowing the water to be turned off by the city with 14 people in a house, on day 3, is a horrible experience! Fortunately the water department was willing to help us out after hours with no water and no where else to go. The owner ignored our emails and phone calls. The cable didn't work for most of the trip and we had to wait around for the repair men. The stove went out and we had to figure that out also. The owner doesn't have a management company and never appears to be in the state to handle issues on the property. The house it's self is beautiful. Great details and decoration. The pool is fabulous and the location to the beach is great. We could have used more pool towels, and bath towels. A house that sleeps 16 should have more than 5 towels. I paid a lot to rent this house and have a family reunion. I have rented from VRBO for 20 years. I've never been so frustrated and disappointed before. I must say that this could have been much worse if I didn't have great family with me that made me laugh the whole way. Future renters...beware and maybe call the water department ahead of time. Lastly the owner refuses to discuss any refund of fees, despite what we went through. So now I'll leave it up to my credit card company.

Great location - House needs attention

Overall the family had a great time. Loved the pool area and slide. The location is literally steps to the beach. The house is for sale. There were several things that need attention. Many lights are out. Fan on porch shakes so bad you have to turn it off. Bedroom fan on main floor only has off and full speed. Freezer seems to have some challenges and has a leak and is ruining the floor. In fact it has been doing it so long that the ceiling in the garage has mold and wet spot. Also, there is something going on with the AC and thermostats. They kept turning off and going into unoccupied mode. May have been user error, but we did not touch them they started switching while we were in the home.
