Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, Calver is a charming and peaceful village surrounded by stunning countryside. With its stone cottages, scenic riverside walks, and friendly local atmosphere, it offers a truly authentic Derbyshire experience. Just a short drive from Bakewell, Chatsworth House, and Castleton, Calver is perfectly placed for exploring the area. You’ll find a fantastic local café, a handy village shop, and two welcoming pubs – including the Calver Arms just downstairs. It’s a great base for walkers, food lovers, and anyone wanting to soak up village life in a beautiful setting. Calver is best explored by car or on foot. There are beautiful walking routes straight from the village, and nearby hotspots like Bakewell, Chatsworth and Hathersage are all within a short drive. Local buses do run through the village, connecting you to surrounding towns, but for flexibility, driving is easiest. There's free parking on-site at the top tier of the pub car park. The apartment is located above the Calver Arms, a popular local pub. While it's a fantastic spot for food and drinks just downstairs, there may be some background noise during pub opening hours. Dogs are £25 and an extra charge will occur upon booking.
