“We had a wonderful stay at this ryokan. The room’s design was beautifully curated, with great attention to detail and every comfort we could have wished for. The meals were exceptional — you can truly feel the thoughtful connection to the local land and ingredients in every dish. Kimihiro Kato was incredibly kind and went above and beyond, even driving us to the station each time we needed. A genuine haven of peace. Highly recommended.”

“Great slice of cabin in the woods humble abode. Clean and warm. You will need a car with AWD and snow tires if visiting in the winter. Beware though, there are monkeys in the woods and they come out in the warm late afternoon. While they're incredible to see, they're smart so keep your food close, snap some pictures and steer clear of them. ”

“Obsolutely over and above fantastic hosts with great ameneties like a local shuttle to downtown and a rack to dry your snowboarding gear. We would absolutely stay again. The hosts were beyond compare!”

“Ski in ski out location. Fantastic hotel with large rooms and indoor fire pit. Staff were extremely helpful. Having a vehicle is preferable to go to and from town but they do run a shuttle Service free of charge.”

“Hotel di recente costruzione, staff gentile, camere spaziose e dotate di ogni confort. A 10 min dal castello e altrettanti dalla zona lungo fiume. Ottimo rapporto qualitá/prezzo, super consigliato. Visto il costo della colazione é conveniente farla al di fuori della struttura (un paio di bakery nella zona).”

“This place was incredible! We loved our stay so much that we are going to visit again at a time we can stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the slopes were right at the doorstep with a ski school for kids and sledding too. Transportation was available to take us to dinner at other places. The restaurant on site was exceptional, the breakfast was so good each day and then we had dinner with live music and had the most wonderful night. Highly recommend!”
