“This is an older hotel with the rooms being dated but clean. We have stayed here multiple times and would definitely come back. Great location. Friendly staff.”

“They are unable to accommodate the handicapped. Refuse to help. They blame Expedia and in turn Expedia blames them. Got nowhere talking to either party. Had to go out and buy a suction bath handle just to get into the shower. If you are handicapped stay as far away from this place as possible. They do not care about you. You give them all the money up front and they couldn’t care less about you. There is no office to go to if you have problems. Worse Experience Ever!!! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!!!”

“The room was very nice and the staff was helpful. However, at least 75 percent of the outdoor lights are out, which is very dangerous at night with so many stairs. It was almost impossible to find my room.”

“The hotel is used for full time residents which were having an open fight in front of their multiple children living on the premises, the screaming at each other using profanity and children running around in diapers and underwear unsupervised in the parking lot was very off putting. The hotel also accommodates local workers which live on the premises as well, very nice men but not really a family atmosphere for vacationers. It is not very inviting to guests on actual vacation or fishermen with...

“I love the Outer Banks Motel and used to stay there 15 - 16 years ago. However, now it needs some upgrading. Supposedly we had the coolest room in the motel (Room B) but we were very hot, and it was only in May! The HVAC needs some work! Also this dear place needs to install a better toilet in Room B. The tiny toilet there is probably 30 years old. It is coming loose from its mooring and you feel like you are going to get bucked off! That was even after the maintenance man came in and worked on...

“Difficult review to do - this area has been damaged by hurricanes and it’s very evident in surrounding area. This mom and pop type motel was built in the late 50’s - a small one story brick building with only 11 units. The owners/ managers aren’t on site. When we pulled in, we were ready to leave. HOWEVER - the owner happened to be there and showed us the units. They were spotless. Floors were clean, beds had nice white linens, towels were big white and fluffy. Small refrigerator and microwave....

“Property was suffering beach erosion after the winter and early storms on the Oceanside. But spectacular view from room and deck on the Oceanside. We should have asked them for a regular coffee pot. Very disappointed that the hot tub was not even warm. We went for beach horseback ride and for 62 yo we sure could have used it. Mgmt tried to get propane for hot tub . But just couldn’t. ”
