“Harbourside Inn was such a quaint and charming stay, tucked away in the quiet town of Northeast Harbor. It’s about a 20-minute drive from the livelier Bar Harbor, which ended up being the best of both worlds for us. The shops and restaurants nearby do close fairly early, but Bar Harbor is just a short drive away whenever you want a little more action. “The property is nice. Pretty views. Big rooms. No iron or microwave in rooms. You had to go outside to the front building to get something warmed up, coffee, tea, make popcorn. The morning was supposed to have some breakfast food. There were yogurts. Nothing more. I asked about muffins but the employee said the delivery hadn’t come. Some oatmeal packets were laying out. Very disappointing. There was only one waste basket in the bathroom. I really don’t get why these places don’t have shelves...

“Fell well short of our expectations for a Days Inn. Room not clean. Dead ants all over bathroom, housekeeping very poor. Left our dirty towels on floor didn’t change them out, just made bed. Parking tough if you stay out past 8:00pm. Breakfast basic, but not so important to us. Looks like cheap attempts at remodeling a few years back but fell far short of completing the job. We’ll definitely choose somewhere else for future stays in Bar Harbor.”
