“My 1st review was removed and the property telephoned me on my private cell phone to basically "tell me off" - contravening the privacy policy of Expedia. The property itself was fine. The suite was clean, spacious, nicely furnished, and very quiet. My only concern was this hotel had no staff and no office. I booked by Expedia under the term "Hotel", and received a message asking me to fill out and sign 3 forms which I did and then provide a $350 refundable deposit which I did as well. I then...

“The hotel is used for full time residents which were having an open fight in front of their multiple children living on the premises, the screaming at each other using profanity and children running around in diapers and underwear unsupervised in the parking lot was very off putting. The hotel also accommodates local workers which live on the premises as well, very nice men but not really a family atmosphere for vacationers. It is not very inviting to guests on actual vacation or fishermen with...

“This property is old but quaint. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom has an old-time sink and there is no flat space for the things you use in the bathroom. We were on the second floor of three but there is no elevator. The breakfast choice was unique and great. You receive a certificate for a local restaurant. Overall we would stay again.”

“The staff was nice enough. The rooms seemed very clean- just extremely dated. When I asked for extra pillow and blanket, they took care of it right away. Seems like mostly local workers are clients- maybe truck drivers etc. Not exactly the best place for a family stay. Just my opinion. I felt a little out of place.”

“The room had a musty smell- like you might expect for a hotel room on the beach. The room itself was larger than expected with a full fridge and stove. The complimentary breakfast had plenty of options. We only stayed one night to avoid traffic leaving OBX on a Saturday. The front desk staff were lovely!”

“This place needs lots of improvements and help. The room was deluxe king and the layout is good but cheaply built. Bathroom has no where to place any of your bathroom necessities. Pool was not open first day due to failure of inspection but did open next day. The 2nd day of the pool opened it already had no towels. When it had towels 1st day they were just little bigger than a foot towel. Staff wondered around a little but didn’t do much. The poop trash for dogs was overflowing. It’s sad...
