“This is a lovely place. The rooms were clean and the decor was thoughtfully chosen — not overbearing or kitschy. The kitchenette had all the necessary dishes, utensils and pots. The small grounds were nice and conducive to ready. The location was great. Very close to downtown Portsmouth and the price was reasonable, especially when compared with those just a couple of miles away in Portsmouth.”

“Very nice place and convenient to everything in town. Not used to staying anywhere where there is basically no staff around but it wasn’t much of a problem after all. No parking was also a bit of an issue but we figured out the nearby town lot that was free and allowed 72 hour stay. We are seniors and would have paid for valet service but as I stated earlier no staff around from what i could tell. We did enjoy the room and the heated bathroom floors were nice. “Parking was easy which is a plus especially in a city like portsmouth. The town is extremely walkable so we didn't have to use the car again until we left. The staff was friendly and attentive. They asked what kind of coffee we wanted and even cleaned our room which included changing the towels. If we come back to portsmouth, I would definitely stay her again”

“No elevators in the place so you need to carry all of your stuff up a ton of stairs. There was a huge bug in our room and the AC’s didn’t work well. The guy had to come out and help but he got it going. Need more towels than 3 for a family. Loved the washer and dryer and location, and parking available. Pull out bed needs a new mattress as it had stains! The couch needs a good steam clean. Otherwise it was cute and cozy!”

“The view was wonderful. We had an oceanfront facing room. My favorite thing about staying on the ocean is the ability to hear the waves, but this wasn't possible. The window did not open, so the only option was to prop the door open to the balcony. There is no screen, so I left it open for a short time and unfortunately had bugs galore. We felt like we were splurging because the price of the room is very high. But we were disappointed that the pool is at another location and passes were $35. We...

“Love everything! From the beautiful retro room to the heated floors in the bay to the comfy bed. We love the decor and we need some relaxing time. Wife and I wish it was warmer to see the property and water views but it was cold! Maybe we come back in the summer ”
