“Great base for walking in Langdale, you go straight out of the back door and up to Stickle Tarn. Excellent breakfast with good choices, a good selection for the evening meal and the Old DG hotel 15 minutes walk away if you fancy a change. Nice lounge for the wet days. 100% recommend”

No help in luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs - no lift in our wing. Never shown around the property or spa. No a/c. Heat and towel warmer off for entire hotel. WiFi spotty. Shower water pressure low. Breakfast was ok, dinner was ok. 3 star hotel and service with 5 star prices. Target clientele appeared to be tour groups.”
