“My stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Lake Norman was extremely disappointing. The first issue was the cleanliness of our room. A boot was left under the bed from a previous guest, which immediately made me question how well the room had been cleaned. The biggest concern was the pool area. One of my kids stepped on tiny metal bristles that were scattered in the pool. “I booked this for one night and the reviews were good. The room on the other hand was terrible. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or updated in quite some time. Would not recommend, would not stay here again. One positive: the staff are lovely. The rooms are gross.”

“The check-in staff was not pleasant at all. The hotel smelled like cigarettes and I am not a smoker. The suite looked like it had not been booked in a while. It had not been vacuumed or dusted in a while. It did not have a fresh smell to it at all. Aluminum foil was covering something in the ceiling and the television only had a sound (no picture). I informed the morning clerk an and his reaction was wow! Definitely OVERPRICED!!!! I will never stay there again and definitely will not recommend...

“Room was basic and clean. We were there only one night and it was just what we needed. Breakfast was disappointing. I wouldn’t count on it being enough if you want more than a bagel. There was no liquid creamer which was odd to me but the dining area was clean.”
