We were very disappointed with our stay at this property. Upon arrival, we noticed visible signs of mold and prior water damage in the ceiling, which was especially concerning because one of our guests has COPD. There were also no smoke detectors in place, as they had been removed from their bases, which is a serious safety concern.Additionally, the staircase railing appeared to be improperly secured with pavers, and one of our guests nearly fell because the railing did not feel stable. These issues made the property feel unsafe.We contacted the property managers immediately upon arrival to report the mold and safety concerns, but unfortunately, the response felt very dismissive and the issues were not addressed during our stay.Our family actually owns and manages a rental property as well, so we understand that issues can come up from time to time. We truly pride ourselves on taking care of our guests and addressing concerns quickly, which is why this experience was so disappointing. We did not feel taken care of during our stay.I am not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, but I felt that this was necessary so future guests are aware and so these safety and health issues can hopefully be addressed.We paid a significant amount for this rental and expected the property to at least match the listing description and provide basic safety features. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
