The Neighborhood:
You're one block off Harrison Avenue, Leadville's historic Main Street, in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's a 5-minute walk to shops, coffee, and restaurants, and about the same to the Healy House Museum. Leadville is the highest incorporated city in North America at 10,150 ft, ringed by Colorado's two tallest peaks. In winter, Ski Cooper is 15 minutes away and Copper Mountain 30; in summer, trailheads, Turquoise Lake, and Twin Lakes are all a short drive.
Getting Around:
Bring your car — there's usually plenty of free street parking right in front of the house on West 4th Street. Downtown Leadville is walkable from the door: 5 minutes to Harrison Avenue shops and restaurants. Ski Cooper is a 15-minute drive, Copper Mountain 30 minutes, and Leadville sits right on Highway 24 for easy access to Vail, Buena Vista, and the I-70 corridor.
Other Things to Note:

No air conditioning — at 10,150 ft, Leadville nights stay cool and you won't need it.
This home is not pet friendly.
Altitude is real: Leadville sits above 10,000 ft, and some guests feel dizziness or nausea the first day. We can't refund altitude-related issues, so if you're sensitive we recommend travel insurance at booking.
Mountain setting: you may occasionally notice local insects or small critters. We treat and seal the home thoroughly — keeping doors closed helps.
Stays longer than 15 nights require a mid-stay cleaning ($150), which keeps the home comfortable for longer visits.
