This was my first return visit to the Queens after a poor experience last year, when I decided to stay elsewhere when in the city. Happy to report that previous standards of cleanliness appear to have been regained and the condition of the rooms now reflects the warm welcome always given by the great reception team. What a relief.

Close to rail station, but hard to find. A pre-assigned room is inconsiderate. Good bar. Classy hotel. Abandoned meal in dining room because of music. Room was not made up one day.

Classic heritage hotel from the 1930’s right beside the train station. Very nice sized rooms, updated bathrooms, quality bed and bedding. We would definitely stay again.

The bathrooms I’m was very dusty in top of toilet. Not been cleaned in days. Same as near sink. Toilet roll holder placed in a very odd place if you are small. Clean bedding and nice meal but restaurant staff not that attentive.

The man on the check in desk could not have been happier or more helpful! Great customer service, beautiful rooms, so convenient for bars/restaurants/shopping/Leeds Arena. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hope to return!

Very convenient location right next to the train station and as others have mentioned, the lobby, bar and restaurant area are very nicely presented. However, the layout of our "family" room was very odd - two huge beds right next to each other seems an odd configuration? Aside from the fact that the room wasn't big enough to accommodate two beds of this size, I don't particularly want my kids sleeping right on top of me! Another minor irritation was that housekeeping repeatedly left only two towels for us. But, more disappointing was the bar service. With small kids, we tend to book hotels on the basis of them having decent bars/restaurants as we obviously can't venture out once the kids are asleep. We stayed three nights and on two of those nights, quite a few options on the drinks menu (no draught beer and several wines) were not available. On one occasion when we ordered cocktails, the bar staff seemed unsure of how to make them (and the resulting drinks were not very good). So very much a case of style over substance. One other minor point: I don't think it would be asking too much to have some nuts (or something similar) available at the bar. It's a bit unreasonable to expect people to order from the dinner menu if they just want a little snack to go with their drinks. We did order some appetisers from the menu on our first night and they were nothing to write home about, so we weren't terribly keen on doing the same on subsequent nights.

The staff at The Queens Hotel were friendly and we received great service. The hotel is in the centre of Leeds close to shops, restaurants and museums all of which were within walking distance. Our king bed was very comfortable and although you are in the heart of a city, we did not notice lots of outside noise. Being near Leeds Station means you can get out to York, the Yorkshire Dales and further afield easily.

Liked the foyer and the friendly staff. I also liked how quiet it was in and around our room. I didn't like having only one mirror in the room which was in the bathroom.

All very good except parking and Access Very difficult to access by car. Lots of long term roadworks and difficult to navigate one way systems, bus lanes and restricted access roads. Had to park in a lay-by and walk to drop cases off and same to collect them. Shame.

Unfortunately we paid extra for a room at the front of the hotel , the room looked grubby and the shower was blocked and flooded the bathroom, we reported this too reception and was too we’d have new towels and the shower would be fixed. But nothing happened so next morning no shower no towels , not much to ask for a £130 a night room.

Great location for city break
Great location in centre of Leeds. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered room service on both nights, food was value for money. We paid for breakfast on the first morning which was not worth the £15 each if you wanted a continental breakfast as limited on choice, and what was left of the pastries was dry and uneditable. Overall the hotel served its purpose of being in a great location, the room was nice and comfortable and clean.

The hotel has had a great refurb and the family room we stayed in was great. All staff at the property were lovely and friendly, but the bar and restaurant just seemed a little unorganised and seemed unaware of items on the bar menu.

Our room was looking to the back side and air conditioner was not working we tried to call the reception but no one answered. We called other lines and at last they came and check it, they told us they are going to try to fix it from the main control. It didn't get better and at the end of the day they gave us a bigger room w city view and working air conditioner.
