I have previously "reviewed" the stay but I will again provide information that may improve the process.
I booked thru Expedia what I thought ( and Expedia probably thought was a stay at The Constance Hotel in Lenox. All communication from Expedia ( including pictures of The Constance) indicated I had a valid registration. The day before our first night's reservation I received a text from the Hotel. I did not question why the text requested to check-in at The Whitlock Hotel (I assumed it was for efficiency, as we have stayed at The Constance and it is not staffed 24/7). The two Hotels are within walking distance. At check-in the Hotel staff gave us a key for a room at The Whitlock. Immediately I asked for a refund. The Hotel clerk explained the process between Expedia and The Lenox Collection-- 3 hotels under one management was flawed. She blamed Expedia and after a few calls "found" a room at The Constance which resolved the issue. No where in any Expedia communication ( 4 emails) does it indicate we may not be staying where we believed we booked. In the future I will not be using Expedia to book any travel. BTW, After the resolution, I believe we stayed in the best room at The Constance and had a lovely stay with the exception of being awakened by a false fire alarm. Please do not ask again for a "survey" response as this is my second time responding...... We had a very nice stay, and next time will need to book directly not thru an intermediary.
