“What a beautiful place to stay! Our room was comfortable (a little warm and no AC) and the staff was very helpful. We got great recommendations for dining and sightseeing from them. I highly recommend visiting the Katoomba area and Kurrara Guest House is a perfect place to stay. Good breakfast and very charming!”

“Spacious room and bathroom and all spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ate dinner at the Echos restaurant which was superb. Great choice and excellent wine pairing. Breakfast was fresh with eggs cooked to order but overall choice was limited. Only downside was that, despite being told how to access the interior swimming pool, it was closed when we tried to use it. ”

“We had two nights at the Alpine lodge. The concierge was friendly, the room clean and spacious and the location was only a few minutes drive from the centre of Katoomba and other tourist attractions. The decor was dated and was on a noisy road (fine if the windows are closed as they are double glazed). Having bowls and plates would be a great addition as there is a toaster, fridge and microwave but no cutlery or crockery (besides tea cups and teaspoons). But overall a clean, comfortable and...

“This is a budget motel, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly. The room had the usual budget motel musty smell. The shower stall is small. But on the positive side, the room had a couch, a dining table, and the table settings needed to have breakfast in the room. The heater worked well, as did the available blankets.”

“Very comfortable bed, and loved the easy access to the shower, no needing to step into a bath, the accommodation gave me a room that really suited my needs. The staff were wonderful, so helpful and always very pleasant. There was plenty of activities for both Adults and children, was not there long enough to partake in most of the activities.”

“Excellent location near the station. Parking was fine but the entrance is not where Google Maps states. Older hotel in art deco style. Shows its age but has some character. Renovated small ensuite in our room. Comfortable, clean and warm. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Live music in the bar afterwards was enjoyable. Great value accommodation, would stay again.”
