Santa Monica top floor pad

Bright modern and spacious apartment with very private entrance in a prime Santa Monica location. Surrounded by tall trees and enhanced by 11 large windows and a nice balcony where you can relax at the end of the day and watch the sunset, the apartment is tastefully decorated with real contemporary art and exotic pieces. The pad is conveniently located within a 2 minute walk to Wholefoods, Starbucks, Chipotle, Yama Sushi and a myriad of local stores, a non denominational church and even a local dive bar...a great way to participate in a local in a los Angeles neighborhood. Less than 5 mins to “Japantown” area on Sawtelle blvd and downtown Santa Monica by car as well (10 min) to Venice beach the pad features easily accessible bicycle paths. Located in a quiet street right in the heart of everything, it is very easy to hop on the Santa Monica freeway (10 fwy) or the San Diego freeway (405 fwy) located close by and be in Beverly Hills, Hollywood, culver city, and Malibu within a 15 min ride.

Great vibe and location

Great vibe and location and communication with owner. Lack of screens is an issue because there's no AC and if you open windows, expect some insects. Espresso machine is a nice bonus.

Great pad with artistic flair

This was our second visit and enjoyed it again. Our stay was too short. The apartment is comfortable with a nice kitchen. Lots of books and art works on the walls. Mia is very helpful and quick to answer questions. The location in West LA is very convenient, close to freeways and not far from Westwood and beach areas. I recommend it highly.

A Comfy 2nd Stay

This was my second time staying at the Pad. Santa Monica was about 10 degrees cooler than the rest of LA! Like before, I slept well, stopped at the Starbucks and Whole Foods (2 blks away) every morning and evening. There is a full kitchen but I don’t cook. Another enjoyable stay.

Quiet Area and Lotsa Parking

I slept like a rock. Everything was clean and comfortable. Accessing the apartment was easy. I particularly liked the great water pressure in the shower. I'll definitely be back.

Fabulous Fabulous Place

I cannot say enough good things about this place and its hosts. Close to everything we wanted to go to, a quiet peaceful neighborhood, the most amount of sunlight LA can provide. I have never felt more comfortable and taken care of than I did here. 5 stars across the board.

It was passable but the property needs work.

While Tia was a friendly and responsive host, the cleanliness of the apartment wasn’t up to my liking. The apartment is light and bright with plenty of windows. However that is also part of the problem. There aren’t any screens on the windows and the windows are old and do nothing to keep the sound of over head planes landing at SM airport out. Likewise the lack of screens seems to add to the layer of dust covering most surfaces. The listing should acknowledge that the apartment is directly in the flight path of Santa Monica airport. Updating the windows would really help keep the sound out. Instead, the sound of the planes during the day and the freeway at night was fairly constant. Regarding the cleanliness, dust covered most surfaces and the bathroom needs to be gone over by a skilled professional. My disclaimer is I am a fan of keeping my surroundings clean. My judgment in the above criticisms is not meant to dissuade others to visit the “funky” apartment, but rather a request to action for the owner.

Sunny and spacious place to stay in West LA

Tania's place was absolutely wonderful for our two-day trip to Los Angeles. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, so noise was never an issue. The apartment was beautiful, light and bright, with a cozy deck with comfortable chairs. The bedroom was comfortable with a nice memory foam mattress. Whenever I had a question, she was quick to answer and made us feel right at home.

Great stay in gorgeous property

Beautiful property in the quiet, suburban east Santa Monica/Mar Vista neighborhood. The apartment is curated with fun artwork and well-stocked. Owners are communicative and very helpful! Whole Foods, Starbucks and more nearby, and only an 8 min drive from Will Rogers beach. Great time!

Drop off our daughter at UCLA

We needed a place closeby to UCLA since we were dropping our daughter off there. This place was conveniently located and the hosts were very prompt in their responses to our needs. We recommend this place whole-heartedly.

Comfortable stay at the pad

We enjoyed our stay at the pad in the Sawtelle area of LA. The rooms had character with lots of books and art. They were spacious and comfortable. The little nook where my sister slept was small but great for our needs so we could accommodate her surprise visit. Mia was very helpful and friendly. This is a suburban area but very well situated for us. It was easy to get to the beach areas and Santa Monica, but also close to freeways that took us into LA in all directions. There are grocery stores very close by. The good kitchen allowed for cooking. I would go again. Thanks for the lovely stay.
