Hello,
I am a repeat guest at Nobu Hotel Los Cabos and stayed from Wednesday, October 9th to Friday, October 10th to celebrate my birthday. This was my fourth visit, and I chose Nobu again because I’ve always appreciated the level of service and overall experience.
However, this visit was disappointing. Upon arrival, a staff member encouraged us to attend a conference the following morning (Thursday the 9th) and mentioned that we would receive credits for the spa or food and beverages if we participated. She also said that if we chose not to attend, we would still receive a $75 daily credit per person for food and beverage use. I clarified that I understood it was originally a spa credit, but she assured me it could be used for dining as well.
The following day, we spoke with a lady named Michelle, who was very pleasant and helpful. She confirmed a 1 PM reservation for two at the infinity pool (as shown in our attached text messages). Unfortunately, when we arrived, no reservation had been made—wasting our time and interrupting our plans.
During checkout, I spoke with a front desk supervisor named José (or possibly Jorge). When I mentioned the $75 daily credit we were promised, he abruptly responded, “You booked through Expedia, right? You should’ve read the disclaimer,” in a very dismissive tone. As a supervisor, he showed no courtesy—he didn’t ask how our stay was, didn’t apologize for the inconvenience, and made no effort to verify the situation or involve a manager.
