“I've been traveling back and forth to Florida for 30 years and this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. When I was given a room it smelled like old fish and I asked to have it moved and I was granted that request the room that I was moved to also smelled like old fish. The staff was trying to be helpful but it's obvious this is the usual problem they they gave me packets of things that smell good and I was told to put it in the air conditioner. “The Tru property in Beaufort has large clean rooms, large bathrooms and an inviting exterior. This is my 2nd time staying here and I will be back.”

“Wonderful and welcoming staff! Nice rooms with outstanding bathrooms. Coffee vouchers for the in house coffee shop was a nice touch Would stay again for sure. The only thing we would have liked is chairs outside of our room. There were tables and chairs available that the staff said we were welcome to move in from of our room but we felt uncomfortable moving them from someone else’s room. Also the breakfast place directly across the street was awesome. Highly recommend”

“Hotel needs updating in mechanicals. Bath fan did not work. Elevator has not been operable for 11 years. Bearing noise in HVAC unit squeaking kept me awake. Breakfast really minimal. Front desk staff very friendly.”
