“When we arrived at the lodge we were supposed to be staying in there was another family there who said the lodge they were supposed to be staying in was occupied so they were given this lodge. We rang the contact number and he apologised, we were provided the key code for another lodge and when i opened the door that was occupied as there was a dog in there. “The room was comfortable, the pool and facilities were excellent, and everything was spotless.”

“The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive.”

“The property is situated in a beautiful location handy for Bakewell and Buxton. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy although the pillows were not great. There was lots of storage for our things. The bathroom was also a good size but I was disappointed to find a couple of long black hairs on the floor! The staff were pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful and we also are there in the evening whi h was tasty and good value for money. There is plenty of parking space.”

“Hotwl is in a great location. Some parts a bit tired but clean apart from rubbish in done spa lockers. Breakfast was really nice. Main issue was that 'everything is extra'. Cqr parkng, WiFi, use of pool and spa. In the end though that worked well because we had the pool and gym pretty much to ourselves. Lovely deep tissue massage!”

“Plenty of outdoor space, many many tables. The rooms had lots of space and were fairly modern. Little things could have made it better, there were no plugs for charging by the bed and the toilet seat wouldn't stay upright. Other than that, it was good value”
