The Space:

Cold mountain air drifts through the trees as evening settles, and steam rises from the hot tub while the sky darkens above the Shenandoah Valley. Inside, the glow from the wood stove reflects off tall windows, creating a warm, inviting space to unwind after a day outdoors. Mornings are quiet and bright, with coffee in hand and views that remind you how far you are from the rush of everyday life.



Sleeping arrangements

The chalet sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 features a king bed. Bedroom 2 has a full bed, no door, yet it remains a quiet, private sleeping space. Bedroom 3 includes a full bed. Two bathrooms serve the home, one equipped with a bathtub, and bathroom essentials are provided.



Kitchen & dining

A fully stocked kitchen offers plenty of prep space for simple breakfasts or family dinners, and a dining table sits nearby for relaxed meals. Coffee is ready for your mornings, and the kitchen works equally well for shared gatherings or quiet evenings in.



Living space

The bright two‑story great room brings everyone together under large windows that frame the surrounding landscape. A wood stove anchors the living area for cooler months, while electric heating and air conditioning keep the home comfortable year‑round. A TV and sound system provide easy entertainment.



Outdoor living

Step onto the deck to find a propane grill, outdoor seating, and a backyard perfect for fresh‑air moments. The hot tub invites a soothing soak under the open sky, especially on crisp evenings, and a fire pit offers a spot for conversations and s’mores. Leaves, pollen, and other natural traces may appear on the deck and walkways despite regular sweeping, a reminder of the cabin’s forest setting.

Children’s books, toys, games, and a high chair make traveling with little ones effortless. Dogs are welcome, while cats are not allowed due to allergies. A washer and dryer support longer stays, and a dedicated workspace accommodates remote work.

The cabin is about a 15‑minute drive from downtown Luray and the famous Luray Caverns, with easy access to local breweries, restaurants, and shops. Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive lie roughly 30 minutes away, offering hiking, scenic overlooks, and year‑round outdoor exploration. Wineries and charming small‑town stops are also nearby, making the chalet a convenient home base.



Water note

Tap water may appear yellow‑light brown because of natural iron and manganese; it is safe to drink, though a slight sulfur smell can occur. We recommend bringing bottled water for peace of mind.
