“We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Geyser Lookout B&B and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel so welcome. They live on site and are both very friendly, helpful, and clearly work very hard to ensure every guest has an excellent stay. “This was a wonderful accommodation. My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. The views were incredible. Sadly it rained a lot so we didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Star the manager could not be any nicer. Anything we wanted she was there to get it for us. Our rooms were cleaned daily and amazing snack drawer was filled. Refrigerator was filled with drinks and replenished daily. Breakfast was made to order and was delicious. Much better than standard continental breakfasts normally...

“I was a little disappointed with my stay overall. The amenities seemed to be in need of some maintenance, which made basic things like showering more difficult than expected. I was also advised at the time of booking that a late check-out could be arranged on arrival, however when I enquired at the hotel, I was told this wasn’t available. It would have been helpful to have that clarified earlier when planning my stay”

“Absolutely lovely spot- quiet, peaceful with tremendously well planned and tended gardens! The fragrance of gardenias and jasmin is heavenly . Secluded hot tub was perfect. ”

“We had a great stay at Pullman. The room was very spacious, the location is perfect, and the overall value for the price is excellent. The AC was amazing, super strong and kept the room very comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable as well. There is valet parking available at the hotel for an extra cost, but we didn’t need it since there was street parking available. It’s free from 6pm to 9am, and also free during the day with a time limit of 1–3 hours. Would happily stay here again.”

“Very clean room ”

“We loved this place! Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean and homey. The location was right next to the lake and couldn’t have been more lovely. It was so private it felt like we were a million miles from anyone else. The only complaint was that the bed was too firm for us. ”

“Putaruru Hotel has been a convenient, easy and affordable stop for me on my travels between Wellington and Northland, close to the main road. It is good to see the property being renovated and upgraded. My room was basic, but newly refurbished, and very clean. The bed was comfortable. It worked well.”
