“Our stay at S31 was great. The building is incredible and the rooms are modernized, but still have the original woodwork. The Village gate is close with great restaurants and boutique shops. The neighborhood is full of history and a great place to take a late night walk. Although there is not currently a dining area at the property, they have great snack options for enjoying in the room and great local wines. “Clean room but not so friendly staffs at the cafeteria. Cleaning housekeepers opened door without knocking at 10:30AM (1.5 Hr before noon check out time) The hotel is at great location for being close to Eastman School of Music, but the streets were under construction during my visit in April 2026.”

“The stay here was pretty much OK. It can use a few improvements. Room was nice and clean. The walls are paper thin and I could hear everything going on next to me and above me. The lights in the room shut off automatic after a few min, which was crazy if you were sitting in the bathroom. The bathroom only had 1/2 a roll of TP and no spares. Same with paper towels in the kitchenette. The king size bed was hard as a rock and my back felt it the 3 nights I was here. Other than that, it is a decent...

“We couldn’t get good sleep be cause of the loud humming sound. We asked for room change for second night and front desk immediately assigned us new room at the ground floor. The sound was less loud in the second room.”
