Hotel a Mears

“We had a great overnight stay after the Crab & Cruise. The room was clean and nice-sized, the bed was super comfortable, and it was quiet. The only issue I had was that I wish there was an iron in the room and that we were told at check in that we would have to sign it out at the front desk. Otherwise, EXCELLENT stay!!”

“Bathroom was nasty! Door was locked in and couldn’t close it. Tub was so dirty and faucets were corroding. Gap on bottom of front door and bugs got in. Will never stay again!”

“No staff on site to check us in. An envelope with instructions was left for us in the lobby (main door unlocked at ALL times). Found the room unlocked with the key hanging on the wall inside. The whole check in process is a security concern. The web site says free self-parking. There is street parking in front but limited to 3 hours. We called the management number. An operator answering the call tried to connect us to the management but got no answer. We left a message but never got a call or...

“The staff at the hotel while checking in, Crystal, was absolutely a gem. She was friendly, efficient and was there for breakfast the next morning and made sure food items were stocked and area was clean. Pool was nice and chilly and clean. ”

“I DO NOT recommend anyone stay at this establishment. When I returned for the day and turned on the lights roaches scattered across the floor. Roaches were even in the bed. I left and they would not give a refund for the nights I paid for.”

“Overall our stay was fine. The room air conditioning could have been more robust. Afternoon/ evening sun even with the curtain closed tightly still seemed to tax the A.C with our room facing west. Suggest a traveler request a room facing “east” instead. Our two night stay required us to vacate the hotel at 12:45 am on the second night. Electric Power went out at 12:20am . Room became to hot, so we left and drove several hours late at night to our home.”

“Spark is very close to the wildlife refuge. Walking distance to Blackfin and McDonald's. Our stay was comfortable and we'd stay here again.”
