Hotel a Mechanicsville

“place is run down and dirty . the staff is friendly but gave me the wrong room and then once they got it straight they gave someone else the same room we were in. We had just gotten back from dinner and some one had our room key to stay the night good thing we were both dressed ”

“While checking in I had to wait 45 mins just to check in because there was no one at the front desk. The first room we were assigned to had German roaches in the room and we had to get moved to the other side of the hotel after being offered to get moved right next door where we literally saw a German roach. I was disappointed in this property.”

“A very nice hotel that I’ve never stayed in. I chose it because I could get a room with a kitchenette, which was nice for pre-race pasta. (We were there for a 14 mile trail run that finished at the Sheetz behind the hotel.)However, I am glad that I called ahead to ask about pots and pans and plates because they told me they do not have those in the rooms. “Great location and view of the river. The staff were also friendly. However, the beds were hard, and the bed comforter/blanket was thin and rough. There was also a musty smell in the room, due to the building's age. The window did not open, so that didn't help with the smell or air flow. There is a desk and chair in the room, but the height of the battered chair was so low, that you couldn't use it to sit at the table (it couldn't be adjusted, either). “The property was clean but older and more run town than pictures showed. The sliding glass door to the deck attached to the room was broken. The lock was missing so they had a piece of wood to use to keep it locked. The coffee maker was missing from our room even though all the coffee items were provided. ”

“The room is clean and well-maintained. The shower has an opposite hot/cold dial adjustment. However, there is no welcome water available in the lobby or kitchen areas. When I requested hot water, the staff on duty was hesitant and slow to assist me, showing a lack of prompt service.”

“My family has taken several trips to Calvert county, but this is the first we've stayed at this hotel. This was, by far, my favorite place to stay. The breakfast is awesome, and my kids loved the indoor pool. The room was nice. The plants in the lobby and pool room are gorgeous. The hotel is in a perfect central location. Every staff member I dealt with was super nice.”

“our stay was perfect. everywhere was clean. the staff was so polite and professional. breakfast looked great. it ended at 9, which was too early of us to enjoy. 10 would be more like it maybe 7 - 10 instead of 6-9. the pool, workout room was clean, smelled clean. the bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows. We WILL be staying there again, and again”
