`Stayawhile`- Private, Hot Tub & Game Room

`Stayawhile` Cabin is a newly renovated cabin right near the heart of downtown Mentone. Located on a private lot with a hot tub, creek, and fire pit; this is the perfect home base for you to explore Desoto Falls, Little River Canyon, Desoto State Park, and the many other outdoor adventures that Lookout Mountain has to offer. We hope to host you soon for your next mountain getaway!



`Stayawhile` Cabin is a two story, two bedroom, two and a half bath cabin located on a private, wooded lot. The main bedroom on the first floor is furnished with a king bed, a walk in closet, and a private full bathroom. The upstairs bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, a walk in closet, and a full bathroom right across the hall. There is a full kitchen stocked with any utensils and dishes you may need to cook a meal at the house. There is also a coffee station with a Keurig and drip coffee maker. K-cups, coffee grounds, tea, cream, and sugar are all provided for you. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating and a large screen smart TV for you to watch any of your personal streaming services. Also located upstairs is a small game room equipped with an air hockey table, shuffle board, and board games for your enjoyment. Outside the cabin, there is a grill, hot tub, fire pit, and swing by the wet weather creek.



There is parking directly in front of the house so you can drive your car right up to the front door. There is a coded deadbolt lock so you can self check-in.



We are available 24/7 if you need anything during your stay via platform or call/text your host, Seth. If I don`t answer immediately, leave me a voicemail or text me and I will get back with ASAP.



`Stayawhile` Cabin is located in a developing subdivision right outside downtown Mentone, AL. The neighborhood is located just up the street from Brow Park which sits right on the edge of lookout mountain and is a frequented spot to catch a beautiful sunset.



The home has it`s own private driveway and is big enough for up to 3 cars to park.



Pets are allowed for a $100 pet fee

Although it was only a short stay, it was everything that it was said to be. Exceptionally clean, well maintained, enjoyable place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We would book it again if we come back through this way.

Lovely stay!

The cabin was just as advertised! Very cute and clean and cozy. The indoor games were fun, views of the stars from the hot tub were lovely, and the location was convenient for DeSoto falls, DeSoto state park, and the cute shops and good restaurants in Mentone. DeSoto falls is amazing and definitely worth the 10 minute drive to see it. Note that if you GPS search for DeSoto state park it will take you to the visitor's center, which is NOT the same as the falls. Search "DeSoto falls" and go there instead. A couple of other minor notes: The hot tub cover was very heavy, so make sure you're prepared to pick it back up if you take it all the way off. The king-sized bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and I slept great (it's slightly on the firmer side, but I like that). We caught a sunset from Brow Park (about 5 minutes from the cabin) at around 5:00 pm which was breathtaking. Overall my wife and I had a really pleasant weekend getaway and I would gladly stay at the cabin again.

Great get away

Cabin is awesome. Very clean and has everything you need for a mountain weekend. Hot tub and fire pit were fun on a cold weekend. Whole family loved the game room! 10/10 would recommend!

Adorable cabin!

The cabin was clean, beautiful, and had so many amenities! I really appreciated that the kitchen had coffee, S&P, and so much more. We loved the hot tub, outside lights, and fun game room!

Beautiful Serenity

Our stay at the Elkmont Retreat provided a wonderful experience. My traveling companions included my husband, brother and sister-in-law, ages ranging between 72 and 88. The cabin was beautifully furnished with lots of amenities. In addition to visiting the quaint village of Mentone, we enjoyed short day trips to Chattanooga and Fort Payne. Each evening we looked forward to sitting on the front porch drinking coffee and sharing stories. The fire pit was used one night to roast wieners. Lots of good memories and laughter! This was the perfect place for our get away.

Excellent Cabin

Communication with the hosts was outstanding. We booked on short notice and they accommodated us: as well as continued excellent communication throughout our stay. The cabin was 5 star clean, with a wonderful coffee bar, night lights throughout, comfortable bedding, well stocked kitchen, and a quiet neighborhood. Definitely recommend this cabin!

Great stay in Mentone.

We had a wonderful stay at the Elkmont Retreat. Everything is just as described in the listing. Quiet spot, very peaceful. The house was well appointed and clean. The bed in the primary was amazing. We brought our dog and he loved the area as well. Safe quiet roads to walk. We can't wait to get back to Mentone for another visit.

Loved our cabin stay!

The house looks exactly like the pictures & was perfect. We roasted marshmallows, cooked out, played games, hiked & jumped in the hot tub. Sunset each night at Brow Park was breathtaking! We saw so much wildlife & enjoyed the getaway. We plan to come back. Thank you!

Beautiful Fall Getaway

Immaculate home with well-stocked coffee bar, and cleaning products. Enjoyed the hot tub and shuffleboard. Quiet, tranquil location. Be sure to checkbout the view at Brow Park. Close to restaurants, shopping and hikes. Great way to celebrate our anniversary. Strong reccomend.

Accurately named a retreat

This house is so beautiful, and the lot is gorgeous. Attention to every detail made this house gorgeous. Its located in a very quiet developing community, lots of privacy. The bed was so comfortable. A wonderful, relaxing trip.

Got what we wanted and more!

Cons: I wished check out was later vs 10am. Got locked out a few times due to the automatic deadbolt lock. Being an air hockey fan, I was a little disappointed with the air pressure not giving that nice smooth glide across the table. After a few attempts with playing it. I just gave up and found something else for entertainment. Pros: The pictures online were ok but in person absolutely beautiful layout and staging of furniture and color. The appliances were high quality. I love the open cabinet concept. The house was very clean and the outside was very well kept. They even had extra amenities for us such as syrup, coffee area, and foil. I didn’t even needed to bring my grill utensils because they had that too. Overall, this trip meet and exceeded my expectations. This was a married couples trip with one other married couple. We definitely enjoyed and would recommend. Also, there is a place called the Wildflower cafe, that it’s an absolutely must to go for brunch! Get there early because they fill up quick. Get the the tomato pie and loaded shrimp and grits!!! You will not be disappointed.

Great weekend getaway

We enjoyed the quiet, scenic location. Fun memories playing shuffleboard! It was close to great hiking trails, fishing, and a quick day trip to Chattanooga to see Ruby Falls. The restaurants were not too far away. Santa Fe is one of our favorites.

Perfect get away

Extremely clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable memory foam. We had a relaxing time sitting around the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub. Had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway. A much needed respite after the loss of our son from cancer.
